I tried this place for the first time on Sunday, 1/25/26. Overall, it was good.

I ordered the wing and rib tips combo (shown in the picture). I initially thought the wings would be full wings, so I was a little disappointed to see they were party wings instead. That said, they were a good size, and paired with the rib tips, the portion was filling and a good value for the price.

The rib tips had good flavor and were seasoned very well, but I really did not like how they were cut. I’m used to rib tips being chunkier pieces of meat. These however were sliced very thin. I assume this is done for uniformity and portion control, but it made them much less enjoyable to eat. There was a bone in every bite, which made eating them feel like work—constantly biting around and picking out bones. That part was disappointing. Good flavor, but not a good way to serve them.

I also tried the catfish nuggets. Again, nothing amazing, but they were good.

Overall, the food here has a very home-cooked feel, which is nice to a point. The downside is that it reminded me a bit too much of food I could make at home myself. When I go out to eat, I appreciate that homey comfort, but I still want it kicked up a notch. The catfish nuggets, in particular, reminded me almost exactly of the ones I make at home.

That said, I do think this place is worth trying, and I may return. I’d like to try their ribs next time. One more highlight—the BBQ sauce was really good. Not the South Side BBQ sauce, but the regular BBQ sauce was delicious. And despite my issue with how the rib tips were cut, the seasoning on them was on point.

This place is a gem of the area. The BBQ Mac and Cheese with the Pulled Pork is our family favorite. Not only do they seriously know their BBQ but the mac and the cheese is far and away the best we have ever had. Wonderful service, always feel welcome and that our business is appreciated. Do yourself a favor and get over there and try it out. Reasonably priced, especially on Mondays when the Mac and Cheese is the special. Highly recommended!

I was one of the original customers at the first restaurant. I like Piggies and believe they have an opportunity to be great. My biggest concern right now is the shrimp. The size is great, but the batter does not hold. They need to tweak the recipe, because the batter should not fall off the shrimp. At forty dollars for a large shrimp order, it is not worth it. I can review other items, but at this point, that’s my biggest complaint

The Thanksgiving dinner was delicious. There was a generous portion of sliced turkey. The green beans had the right amount of kick. I hope Piggy’s makes this a yearly offering.

Placed an $83 pickup order last night and sadly the food wasn’t even edible. We ordered 1 lb catfish nuggets, 1 lb rib tips and 1 lb burnt ends. The catfish was mushy/soggy and tasted days old. The rib tips were terrible. Flavorless and rubbery with hardly any sauce on them. The burnt ends weren’t quite as horrible as the catfish and rib tips but they were very tough and flavorless. Tasted like they were made a day or two ago and reheated. So disappointing. We ordered from here only once before about a year ago and it was pretty good. Not sure what has changed since then. So disappointing to spend that much money and not even be able to eat the food. The fries and slices of white bread that came with the rib tips were the only edible thing.

Food here is great. By far the best corn bread I've ever had. Banana pudding is always great. This time I had the chili hot dog. Highly recommend. It was LOADED. Everything there is great.

This place is the best BBQ joint I've been to I love the people that worked there the owners are great the vibe is beautiful in that place and the food tastes like old school down home cooking the banana pudding is homemade it tastes like heaven all of the food there is great I'm from Chicago and I come all the way there to get some barbecue some good southern food I love it and great music the DJs are off the chain

I would definitely have to agree with the review written by G.Thnx! This is supposed to be a barbecue restaurant “right”? What barbecue establishments that you know of that DOES NOT SERVE BREAD with the Que! Regardless of what meal or sandwich. I checked my order before I left the parking lot and no bread with my hot link and no sauce on my fries! I went back in and immediately asked for a refund! The young lady said that she was going to call the manager which is also the owner! The owner told the cashier to just give me my money back when really she could have just simply asked if I wanted sauce on my fries some bread and an “APOLOGY” I definitely see why they have a 4.1 rating with bad reviews! The presentation of the food was “SCARY” and it’s not Halloween yet! Please stay clear of this restaurant because it surely will be a waste of time!!!
