La Mex Reviews
Worst Mexican food I have ever had anywhere in the country including Mexico and I love Mexican food.
Tacos were tasteless as was the refried bean and rice, all
served barely warm.
Chips were thick, hard and cold, sauce had a very unpleasant taste.I have no idea how this place has stayed in business.
Was there for a late lunch. they had only one other customer.
I should have noticed that.

The food is amazing and well worth the stop. I’ve stopped in here many times in the past and recently the margaritas aren’t the same. The margaritas leave much to be desired. Their Patron has been played with which means they are putting well in the patron bottle or something other than top shelf, It doesn’t taste like it use to here.
This is our new favorite place after church.(as well as our favorite Mexican food in the entire area!) Everything has been fresh and flavorful! We have never eaten the beans at other places except here we do! If you haven't tried LaMex yet do it.

La Mex offers a variety of dishes, including Chicken Enchiladas, Beef Enchiladas, and Skirt Fajita steak, all with unique flavors. The restaurant has delicious food and wonderful staff, making it one of the favorite places in Pontiac. The red sauce may not taste traditional, but it is still enjoyable. The white cheese in the cheese enchilada adds a nice touch. The piña colada is a must-try, and the service is attentive and friendly. Although the close table arrangement may lack privacy, the staff is accommodating. The restaurant is very clean and has plenty of parking, making it wheelchair accessible. For those with dietary restrictions, there are plenty of gluten-free options. It's perfect for those looking for a mix of flavors in a friendly environment, with options for vegetarians and families with kids. However, some recent reviews suggest that the menu could use a bit of jazzing up, with requests for items like lettuce, tomato, jalapeños, and chorizo. While the Steak Fajitas and Chimichanga were noted to lack flavor, the quality of food remains high, and the prices are comparable to other restaurants in the area.
