This place has the basics down. Just need to jazz up the menu a little bit. Steak was great, but how about some lettuce, tomato, or jalapeños or roasted pepper? Also chorizo seems missing from the menu. Good refried beans, good steak, salsa etc.
I have been here many times while visiting family. This place has delicious food and wonderful staff. One of our favorite places to go in Pontiac.

The Botana La Mex was a tasty appetizer. The main dishes like the Steak Fajitas and Chimichanga lacked flavor and spices. The kids meals were average. Chips and salsa were below average. Bland and limited salsa quantity. Great quality of food. Friendly and attentive service.
