I stumbled on this place and, being a big fan of tacos, had to try it. Normally I don't visit restaurants that feature gaming in them, but I was pleasantly surprised by the scope of their menu. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and two steak tacos, and they were really good -- with a very generous amount of meat and fresh tortillas. They also have good looking burritos, although I haven't tried them yet. The restaurant is minimalist, with a few small tables scattered around a half-wall separating the dining area from the five or six video slot/poker machines. Drinks are limited to bottles of soda or beer, and various types of Mexican pop. Prices are quite reasonable. This place started out being a favorite takeout joint of mine. However, in recent weeks I have noticed a distinct problem developing. When no one is in the restaurant, the employees tend to disappear into the kitchen and not pay attention to the counter. This means you might walk in and stand for three or four minutes before anyone notices you. Worse yet, they have begun blasting music over the store's speaker system at something approaching 120 dB, which makes getting their attention even harder. Also, one of the times I was there, I decided to dine in, and they actually left the music blasting at its original level, which was annoying and painful. Talk about a disincentive to eat there! The last time I was there, the music was so loud as I walked in the door that I could hear the speakers rattling in the ceiling. To their credit, they turned the music down while I placed my order. I have a couple of suggestions for the owners of this place: 1. Judging by the number of people I have ever seen using the gambling machines (zero), I wonder why this place doesn't just focus on being a good little Mexican joint, and drop the "casino" aspect. This would make it suitable for families and people who dislike gambling. 2. Maybe have a chat with the servers, and explain how to attract, and not repel, the customers.

We used to get food here a couple times a week. Carnitas were awesome. I don't know what happened (I heard new management), but their portipon sizes shrunk to an insulting degree while prices remained the same. Tiny burritos, wimpy tacos. The rice is half hard and the beans have the texture of wet cement. We gave it a few tries after our first bad experience but with no improvements we decided it's best we don't return.

UPDATE 9/29: What was a fantastic restaurant filling a need in this area, new store management has led to a decline of quality and consistency. My food has been less flavorful, even burned at times. Even the house made chips are frequently stale. It's sad when something so good fails so fast. Sorry, Good Juju, I won't be back
