Great food at an awesome price. It was a pleasant surprise for us while travelling. Highly recommended if you are ever on the 1-88. Near Illinois iowa border.

Great food; small place with little seating; does a constant flow of takeout service. Nestled just off the main road thru town…it’s a hidden gem

Really cute place. Food was delicious, confused why it was served in Togo containers. Proud of their food, pricey. We had to ask waitress for silverware and napkins. Needed to be trained!!

My wife and I ate here for the first time tonight and we were not disappointed. I couldn't decide what curry I wanted to try but our server recommended two, the panang curry and khao soi. I chose to order the panang curry and my wife had the black pepper beef. We also ordered an appetizer sampler.
We loved everything. The panang curry was so flavorful and delicious that I decided to order the khao soi too. I got it to go but tried it as soon as I got home and it was also fantastic.
They do seem a bit short staffed right now, so if you go please be patient and kind. It was very busy but we didn't have to wait long for anything and everything was very fresh. We will definitely be going back soon!

Cute little cafe! Great food and service. Quality ingredients. Definitely homemade! The sauce and food was perfectly prepared! Large portions and very authentic! We will be back. This is a perfect date night experience. We do date days and this one seems to be one of our favorites.

Food is made to order and made special for those as me that have food restrictions
First time testing out the mango fresh roll and it is an instant love of mine, After Thursday night dinner here, my husband and I went Friday afternoon for lunch. Thai town is always our stop when traveling to this end of the state!

Food was pretty tasty, but the service and experience were very disappointing.
We were excited to take an out of town guest there. In the past, we had a server (one of the owners i think) that was very helpful. This time, the young lady that took our order provided almost no communication at all, let alone giving us any feedback about the dinner options.
We brought a person unfamiliar with Thai food, and the server provided no assistance or guidance.
We had to get up and get water ourselves, and were never asked if the food was okay.
We definitely did not feel welcome.

What a delightful find. The Thai Town Cafe over performs in the small town of Rapids City. The food is fresh, delicious and spiced just right. Ordered Pad See Eew, Thai hot, it had some heat for sure but i've had hotter. Also ordered Mango Chicken stir fry and black pepper beef, all three were tasty. Restaurant is small and clean, the staff was great. Definitely a hidden jewel well worth the visit.

This is my first time leaving a review for a restaurant, and unfortunately, it's not a positive one. We decided to stop by this restaurant during a road trip based on its good reviews online. What a disappointment that turned out to be.

Upon arrival at 7 pm, the restaurant appeared small and understaffed, with just one server managing both front-of-house duties and handling takeout orders as well. Despite there being multiple chefs in the kitchen, the service was painfully slow. One table was still waiting for their food, while another hadn't even managed to place their order yet. We sat down along with two other tables, all of us waiting to order.

It took a frustrating 20 minutes just to have our order taken, during which time three different people came in for takeaway orders ahead of us, further delaying our service. The waiter seemed overwhelmed and had to manage the dining area also. At 8:30 pm that our food was finally served in carryout boxes. Never saw that in a dine-in order.

To make matters worse, the food itself was a letdown. The dish I ordered was excessively salty, completely overwhelming any other flavors the dishes might have had.

Throughout the evening, we had to repeatedly inquire about the status of our meal, feeling neglected and increasingly dissatisfied with the entire experience. We contemplated leaving, but the assurance that our food was being prepared kept us waiting reluctantly.

Overall, this was undeniably the worst dining experience I've encountered in a restaurant. The combination of poor service, extensive wait times, and disappointing food quality overshadowed any initial positive expectations we had. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my visit. While we appreciate the importance of supporting local businesses, this restaurant seemed to struggle with staffing and maintaining the level of culinary skill needed to provide a satisfactory dining experience.

We really wanted to like it and stopped on a road trip based on good reviews but not sure what there is to recommend. Waited 25 minutes for small bowl of fried rice and 45 minutes for our meals. Pad Thai was great except they put pepper on it that overpowered. Never had pepper on Pad Thai. Restaurant looks cute but has no atmosphere. So it's a long, painful wait when you have hungry mouths waiting to eat.

The dishes were authentic Thai. However the logistics remains lots to be improved. We dined in and waited for about 90 minutes but no meals were ready. The tables were not full; three tables took orders at the same time, but one of the other customers got their orders in 20 mins, finished, left, while we kept waiting. Beware and you must ask your wait time either dine in or take out. Do bring some snacks and sudoku with you

First time here. Nice little restaurant. Arrived to find the place empty except for one other table, so was surprised to wait an hour and a half for our food; while order, after order to go - went out the door. Final straw was people that came long after us got their food first, ate it and was finishing up when we finally got served. Would have left but we prepaid. Food was good when we finally got it. I so wanted to like this place and like to support local but felt this was unacceptable.

This is a gem of a find in Rapids City. It's a small building, but they did an amazing job of utilizing the space to make it feel welcoming with plenty of seating inside and outside. Very clean and well organized. The staff who greeted me was very friendly and helpful. He was attentive to those who were eating on-site, and personally helped me with locating condiments and utensils. The food was flavorful and well prepared. The owner clearly takes pride in the service this business provides.
