I'm a super fan of KC BBQ. Having lived in that city for 14 years, how can you not be? Q39 was my favorite "go-to" place for a long time, but Fatbacks beats this place hands down. Esp. for their BBQ chicken (which is bigger and juicier) and for their sides, like their collard greens which is cooked down at their site. My husband thinks they have the best brisket he's ever had.

I read the reviews and I was really looking forward to this Q. I was left unimpressed. I had brisket and pulled pork. The best item on the plate was the corn bread. It was awesome. The brisket was very tender. I did not get much, if any smoke flavor from the meats. I couldn’t taste any flavor from the rub or bark. I assume it was smoked, but I was left wondering if it was cooked another way. It’s not the worst I’ve had, but definitely nothing to come back for. Sorry. Hate to say that about any BBQ.

As someone that travels for work, I try a lot of BBQ. Hands down one of the top 5 I have ever had for overall quality. The sides were great, the pulled pork was great, the brisket was great. Phenomenal job to the owners and workers!

Modest neighborhood place with great ribs and pulled pork. Sides were very good. Everything served quickly by friendly staff.
20$ for half a rack of ribs would be a good deal with the ribs were bigger than a new born babies ribs. Its the size of my palm. 4 inches of ribs. The size of a McDonald's cheese burger. I did like this place. Just another stingy restaurant. Edit: cold in the middle, dry and tastes like it came from a microwave. i have no beef with any employee or the restaurant. I'm just giving my honest review.

If you are looking for the laid back quiet town barbq to completely blow your mind look no further, im from the south and you might hear that southern people take pride in there slow smoked bbq.
HANDS DOWN THE BEST I PERSONALLY HAVE EVER HAD.
The burnt end sandwich on a bun was the most flavorful, juicy, and tender ive put on my tastebuds.
