Best mexican food and margaritas in Quincy… It is a family business and the food is authentic mexican food. They really care about their customers and quality, in an increasingly pleasant atmosphere. (They are currently doing really cool murals and building decor inside. Oh, and they have spicy salsa (by request) if you are looking for a little more mexican kick with your free chips. Lots of variety in the menu and our family has each found their favorites that keep us coming back again and again… 5 stars easy.

One of the more decorated Mexican restaurants in Quincy Illinois! I love this place. Javier and his family truly care about every single one of their customers! I’m loyal to this spot for a reason. Every dish is well plated and explodes with flavor every bite. Also, the price is lower than all other Mexican restaurants in town. If you’re in Quincy Illinois and want an authentic Mexican meal, El Patron is the spot!

Never in my life i have been to a restaurant that had roaches so bad they were crawling across the table!!! The tea was terrible, tasted like it had been sitting out for days along with the salsa!!! How this place has a 4.5 rating is beyond me!!!! I plan on calling the health department as well!!!! Very poor rating on my end, didn't even take the chance on ordering food!!! Extremely disgusted with this place!!!!

Our server was very pleasant. The food was not so good. Salsa was very flavorful, and the rice was fresh and tasted pretty good. But I did not like my taco or my enchilada. The enchilada sauce was thin and bitter tasting.

Me and my wife always come here. The bang for your buck and quality cannot be overstated. If you want Mexican this is the place to go. Take it from a fellow Mexican. This is the spot. A typical meal can be about $20 for two people and you get wayyyy more than any fast food joint in town.
