My wife and I grew up in the area and move away almost 30 years ago. But The Patio is one we make time and plan our trips back around so we can make sure to stop for dinner. We were back this weekend and we were shown again the reason we keep coming back. Admittedly the service started out a little below what we have come to expect when we dine at the Patio. The waitress could tell things were not going as it should and alerted the manager. We could not have asked for better service recovery. The manager came to our table was very friendly and immediately made things right. He even stopped over when we were getting ready to leave and spent some time getting to know us and why we were in town. You could tell he really cared about our experience. If I could give six stares I would have, true customer service is so rare these days. We will be back.

Food wasn't anything spectacular especially for the prices. Yes depending on what you order the portion may amaze you & I mean that will go good or bad depending on expectations of course. Service needed a huge step up. We had a large party w/1 server no helped her bring out food or drinks. So in turn she dropped the ball because she couldn't handle it herself. However definitely didn't seem to both anyone employeed there either. Why would it they attached thier gratuity charge of 20% & snuck in a 3% service fee....which is when I brought it up I was told is a credit card processing charge. No one asked they assumed I was paying by card...I planned on using cash. It took her 10 minutes to bring me another bill without the fee, of course she had to stop & chat & collect tips & chat again. Atmosphere was amazing that's all it really had going for it. Even the drinks didn't taste good.

This was a restaurant that my wife and I had contemplated on going to for three years. The Patio was bought and and "reinvented" a few years ago. The new owners wanted to make it more of a metropolitan feel. They did and that includes the price. I know many restaurants in St. Louis where an 8 oz fillet or a ribeye are less than $47. So, we chose not to pay for the spaceship-like atmosphere. However, we noticed recently that there was a seasonal menu. Strawberry bruschetta, ceviche, pork belly bites, ropa vieja were just some of the appetizers. Mahi Mahi, Mediterraean Chicken, Lobster and Crab Alfredo, Duck Leg Confi were just some of those entrees. But, when we arrived, to our disappointment, this menu had been eliminated and their boring, typical, and overpriced items from the past few years were the only thing that we could order. The website currently still posts the seasonal menu. It's mid-August and the summer menu is gone!--Really?! And, that cannot be revised promptly on the website?!--No. I hate when businesses ignore their websites. It can create a feeling in the consumer of a bait-and-switch. When did the menu change?--Right after the Fourth of July? I don't know. Was there any cool specials? No. Just the generic, overpriced menu that we had tried to avoid. The food was good. However, would one truly call a maynonnaise-based dipping sauce a red pepper sauce for the salmon?--Was this changed at some point and not reflected on the menu? And, yes, the atmosphere was more metropolitan--including the picture of the gay Abe Lincoln in the men's room. The president is wearing a pink suit and ink bow tie as there are flashy, silverly highlights in his beard and eyebrows. Wow! That's certainly an eye-catcher. Service was good. Our waitress did a great job. Unfortunately, there was a table of twenty directly infront of us. And tables and chairs had to adjusted because the number included more patrons. A couple of the staff did not lift the chairs, but pulled them along the hard floor. So, there was several minutes of annoying squeals that were not necessary. All-in-all, this was a definate, we want to forget the experience.

Server basically disappeared after bringing water and the first round of drinks and taking our order. They went to anther section of the resturant for quite some time and when they came back towards our booth (located near the kitchen entrance) she was looking straight ahead and moving at quite a pace and thus we cound not get her attention. We had to have a buss person search her out to get water refills and another round of drinks. Then she was not to be seen again until of food was ready and then not to be seen again until she chose a time to arrive with oir check....certainly not the birthday evening we expected.

We waited an hour for our food, told kitchen was short staffed. It was not busy at all. Husbands food was hot while mine was warm at best. Service was mediocre, husband got offered a coffee refill once. On a high note, the Long Island Iced Coffee was delicious. Not sure that we'll be back anytime soon.

The Patio is the nicest restaurant in Quincy and if you only eat at one restaurant on your visit to Quincy, eat here. The food is always excellent and the service is consistent and friendly, although everyone is suffering from lack of staff. The decor is quite lovely and you should take a peek at the private dining rooms because they are designed beautifully. The first time I went to the Patio I thought the prices were too high and the portions were too small; however, that is no longer the case. When everyone else started seriously raising their food prices, apparently the Patio did not, because you get a very nice meal for a fair price if you are seeking finer dining in Quincy. Highly recommend.

Upscale which is just what the city needs. Fabulous bartender and cocktail menu. The food is superb especially the ceviche and burgers.

Only place in town where you truly feel a reason to get dressed up to go.

Nicest owners and fair pricing for everything you get.

My family and I dined at The Patio several years ago, but with several of us having a severe garlic allergy there were few garlic-free options on the menu. This time I called ahead, and they had me talk directly to the chef. He was wonderfully accommodating, taking the time to walk me through the menu and explain which options he could do garlic-free. Our dining experience this time was flawless. The service was top notch. Our server was professional but warm, and completely attentive. Servers other than our own would notice our empty cocktail glass and ask if we needed another, or remove finished plates. The appetizers were incredible--strawberry bruschetta, portobello fritto (minus the aiolo), and the best calamari we've had. Our entrees were cooked to perfection--salmon, catfish, mahi mahi (and duck confit for one of us who can eat garlic). Generous enough portions that we brought food home. Looking forward to returning, especially when outdoor seating is added for summer dining. My only critique is that it's quite dark inside the restaurant, so outdoor dining will solve that issue for us.

I love the food here at the Patio in Quincy, IL. They have been a staple here in Quincy for many many years. I had a slight issue and management fixed it right away! I was blessed with a 100 dollar credit. Went above and beyond. Great people that manage and work there. Food is amazing as well. Look forward to many many years of continued service! 🙏

First visit here, very surprised this exists in Quincy. Great service, great food and very nice cocktails. It is a bit on pricey side but certainly worth it. Atmosphere is pretty nice too and many different areas for seating to provide different experiences from meal to meal.

Great seasonal menus. The Ropa Vieja was bursting with flavors. Bec behind the bar is a ton of fun and made a killer Bloody Mary. Fun space with quirky lighting and a lot of character.

A remarkable experience with a really wonderful menu. They also have a seasonal menu. Our server was new but she still has everything down solid. Really friendly accommodating. Perfect attention to the details and made sure nobody was waiting to ask for another drink.
