I live out of state but I am from Quincy and have always loved everything from Underbrinks! I recently ordered a large angel food cake for my grandmother’s 95th birthday, they are her favorite! They asked what her favorite color was and what I’d like it to say. When we picked it up, I was amazed at how beautiful it was, definitely exceeded my expectations. Very reasonably priced and delicious as always! I wish I could pick the bakery up and bring it to my state! Thank you Underbrinks for making my grandmother’s birthday so sweet, it was a huge hit!

Came out on January 2nd and they were closed until January 3rd for the holidays. However, no one bothered to update hours online. So, google and other online apps show the store as opened. Wasting our time and ending a trip in disappointment.

I have heard this is a good spot but in the many times i’ve been to Quincy they have never been open for business. Good luck finding a time they are open if you don’t live here and are just visiting periodically.

I’ve been visiting Quincy to see family for more than a decade. Today was the first time I was treated to trying an Underbrinks cake. This is a life-changing cake. My child ate their piece of cake in front of me and for 5 minutes I could smell the vanilla and sweetness. The cake had a true spring to it. It was by far the best Bakery cake I have ever had. I’m thoroughly ticked that my cousins have been hiding this cake shop. From now and forever I will be buying a “just because cousin Whitney” in-town cake so I can have a few slices. What a gem in the Gem City. This may be one of the best cakes in the Midwest.

in 2014 one of my coworkers at the time had stopped in and gotten an iced angel food cake from here. It was so delicious. I moved to St. Charles so very far away and even then lived over an hour away from Quincy. I finally had an appointment in Hannibal and drove out of my way to come back 10 years later to get this cake because I have thought about this cake throughout the 10 years and was so happy I stopped in to grab some! I got the cupcakes this time and they were phenomenal! Keep it up!!!
