The new owners have a lot to be desired. They don't know how to talk to people or treat them with respect. The food is terrible, bland and over priced. Avoid this place at all costs. There are better places than this to eat in Champaign County. I am in the food service business myself and I already see some violations when I walk in. I ought to take pictures of them and run down to Champaign and show the health department pictures from my phone and make things really nasty for them, but I wont. I wish I could give them zero stars.

One simply cannot pass the Rantoul area during breakfast hours and not stop for a Haystack! Or maybe just a half stack :) Great local place! Dine in or Take out you can't go wrong!!

Update 10-23-22Still fantastic! Had the HALF haystack, but with biscuits this time, still more than enough to fill me up.As you can see compared to my big old hand, it's plenty of food. Hash browns, eggs your way, choice of biscuits, toast white or wheat, bacon or sausage piled up on each other. You must try!Original post 2yrs agoFood is fantastic as always. Recommend anything, but the sausage Haystack is my fav! You may have to ask for a half order. A whole order is a lot of food. I just take half home.

Debbie and Linda were amazing. The atmosphere and customer service were both wonderful and exquisite. Every time I come to Rantoul, I have to make a stop for a Haystack in the morning. They are very kind and fun to have conversations with. If you are driving through the area or staying nearby, I would highly encourage coming to Otts.

Great old school diner. Seems family owned and operated. Had the Haystack which his the spot. Hash browns, biscuits, sausage patty, eggs, gravy. Hella good.

This old time diner will remind you of Mayberry and times gone by....the food is delicious, the service is prompt and the staff are so friendly! Try a haystack or a pork tenderloin sandwich!

If you want good old fashioned diner food, this is the place to go. Friendly staff and owners will treat you right. The booths were installed in the 50's and are now a little snug for the average American.

Delicious food, delightful staff. I am not a coffee drinker but this place has the best coffee. My only wish is that they would be open more. 7-2 Tuesday- Sunday, I am at work during this time most days.

Good little restaurant with great food. Classic drive-in options. I got a double cheeseburger and onion rings. Staff was very friendly. I loved that it still has a old school counter where you can sit on a stool and watch the cooks. My only hang-up, was figuring out how to enter. The front door is metal/silver without any markings. I honestly thought it was the door to the freezer.
