It's a take out place. (Not dine in). I ordered curry goat with cabbage and yams and was very pleased with my meal. The goat was tender and not overcooked (which happens alot when ordering goat). The flavor was excellent! The cabbage was very good and the yam was just ok. (Gave me one large yam piece) It included the rice &beans which were very good and well seasoned. It was also a Great portion size for the price. I recommend and will visit again.

I visited Richton Park location on Tuesday 9/9/25 I ordered a whole dark chicken, I must speak the truth. It was the worse jerk chicken I’ve had ever had. No parts of this bird tasted jerked in any kind of way. It’s basically grilled chicken without jerk seasoning they must think that the weak jerk sauce would make up for the lack of seasoning. No😡. I’ll just stay traveling to Jerk Villa 79th location 🔥. I live in the south burbs so I was giving Irie another shot👎

After yrs of visiting this establishment the service has fell off and the quantity of food is terrible. Called to complain and Lisa as she say her name is was very rude and bitter !! After ordering a 30.00 combo (oxtail Catfish ) what is got was 2 very small pieces of oxtail size of a quarter !! They literally should be ashamed of themselves!! For 30.00 you should be able to get nice portion especially to someone whom was coming there for yrs !! Also find another cashier besides Lisa!!

Lacking customer service and no supervisor or manager on site to hold employees accountable.
I called and placed a “small” order and a “large” order and was charged for a small and a large. When I got home I noticed they were in the same size container.
I took the order back and was told by an ignorant woman that small was the same as the large. I asked her how would she like for me to teach her child that small is the same as large. She had no words and gave no refund adjustment.
I asked for the manager and there was no manager or supervisor who could correct what happened on site. I was told they don't have supervisors or managers. So I asked for the owner's number needless to say I'm still waiting for them to call.
Employees like the cashier and owners who don't respond to customers complaints business is destined to failure.
Food is delicious kinda unsanitary though. Also very rude unless they are speaking to another black person

I am so conflicted! Okay so background- today I was craving jerk for brunch and thought I'd try a spot I've never been before (I usually go to jerkngo on vollmer in Olympia Fields, IL) I try to support Richton Park business whenever I can and I wanted good food that I can fit into my lunch break. They were not busy even though they have lunch specials and I came during lunch so I expected an in an out experience.
Cons- *I waited 31 minutes for my food. Im serious. Check out my screenshots. Yikes! Not convenient at all for a lunch break. Especially if you decide to tell your customers that the wait will only be 25 minutes. This is a pet peeve- respect others times and schedules and be up front about wait times or meet the expectations on punctuality. I would recommend calling ahead before coming to save time. 30 minutes ahead. *The food was boiling hot. I couldn't eat it right away without burning my mouth which sucked because A) they already ate up 30 min of my time lol & B) it looked and smelled so amazing and I was running out of time to dig in. Ugh lol I am a fan of hot food where you only need to toss it around in your mouth for a half a minute to consume it lol but not boiling hot food. *while the portions were legit as shit, I was not a fan of only 2 pieces of plantains- be generous my sisters and brothers! *I tried the bbq jerk chicken and instead of it tasting like jerk chicken with bbq sauce, it was kind of liked baked bbq jerk chicken... if that makes sense? Look at the pics. It was definitely okay in taste, it just wasn't what I was expecting. I was expecting jerk chicken rubbed or tossed in bbq sauce. I also believe they use open pit bbq sauce, which I personally am not a fan of *No bread with lunch special and that's just wackness in my opinion lol definitely consider amending that people.
Pros- *Smells and looks fantastic! Enjoy the pics! *All of my sides tasted bomb! (Going to have to circle back and try their original jerk chicken before I add input on the chicken) But the sweet potatoes/yams are FACTS family! *I definitely wouldn't mind coming back. *portions are insane! Very generous! Minus those plantains & the chicken- they a little stingy on the bananas & chicken. *Staff was attentive lol and they weren't mean and we know that is a must have from a jerk spot, right?

Richton Park is the worst location, the food quality and taste are extremely poor!!!! I spent $187.00 for a small pan of oxtails, they were disgusting!!! Calumet City and Country Club Hills only for my family’s holiday catering needs, those locations never disappoint.
