10/27/25-This is an update from my previous review, The guy working at front is going to make sure rather you call or come in that the customer knows he hate his job there very badly, only thing kept me coming back was the rice was delicious my most recent visit the rice was VERY VERY OFF had a really weird taste that it doesn't normally have I will never return can't take risk of a food born illness. both of my concerns here are also in others reviews as well. The guy also hates if you ask him questions
This place is very RUDE, the person that answered the phone sounded as if you're bothering him by calling-I wasn't placing my order fast enough so he hung up in my face-when I called back asked if he hung up on me he refused to respond, I asked to speak with owner he refused to respond.

If your from Atlanta this food is gonna piss you off. If you got taste buds it’s gonna make you mad. Sauces in paper boxes. Unseasoned food. Extra charge for soy sauce and duck sauce. Should have went to the Jamaican spot across the street. Only decent thing was the price wasn’t awful. The banana smoothie was straight too.

I am trying to find a decent chinese restaurant in South Cook and after trying the food at this place, unfortunately I am still looking. Best thing from this place was the customer service, very friendly and professional.
Now let's get to the food, ordered the lunch special Shrimp and Broccoli. Fried rice, was missing bean sprouts and green onions which I thought was standard. Shrimp and Broccoli tasted off and egg roll, I couldn't even finish a bite without spitting it back out.
I am beyond disappointed but from the reviews plenty of people enjoy the food at this spot, being from the city I have had plenty places to compare to, just not for me. I will not be returning.

Used to come here a lot for the good food and cheap prices. Came back for old times sake to be met with incredibly high prices. Plain fried rice should not be 8 bucks. Seems money hungry at this point. Was also met with a very rude attitude by the man at the front desk. I usually add a soda to my order but quickly changed that when I was met with rudeness. Came back for a fun experience and left not wanting to return again. Sad to say goodbye to a place I used to love

The food is usually okay but can be inconsistent. I can accept a wait for food being made to order. What I cannot accept is poor customer service. I spent $40+. I will not return.

Let me start by saying this review has absolutely nothing to do with the quality or the taste of the food, this food is about price gouging. I made a larger than usual order today and I guess I haven't been paying attention to how much their prices have gone up but when my bill came and it was 9250 I was absolutely taken aback. My husband and I have been customers of son son since they opened and I had expected the bill to be maybe 75 bucks but 92.50! Then after I hung up from the order I went over what I ordered and the only meat dishes that I ordered were two large orders of 1x General Tso's chicken and 1x orange chicken the rest of the order was mostly rice!!! Nope, we understand that everything is higher but cmon now $92.00 for what was a mostly rice and fillers order! SunSun, you cannot justify this high of pricing! You just lost really good customers today and i imagine you have priced out most of your regular neighborhood customers out of being your customers. SHAME ON YOU.
Ordered a large egg for young, large Peking rice, large Mongolian beef, an order of fried shrimp and an appetizer platter. Everything was so delicious.

Terrible food. Person taking orders has terrible attitude, in fact he is a BIG ignorant guy. Hard egg rolls, sweat ? sour shrimp tiny shrimp wrapped in a Whole lot of hard crisp dough. Absolutely terrible. Will never visit again.

My family has been coming here for easily over 20 years and is still the best chinese food. We refuse to go anywhere else even if there’s a drive now. The food and service here is awesome and such friendly faces!
