This place is very mediocre. If you sit anywhere near the bathroom you will get a constant whiff of poopy bathroom smell. It's disgusting. The food is ok at best. And wayyyyy over priced. I prefer McDonald's breakfast over this place v

Food and ambience at Yolk was great. We were here for a celebratory brunch and enjoyed our time. All the entrees tasted good. The only complaint was that the tables are too close and there was an extra chatty group next to us which was disturbing. Would be nice to keep larger groups in a different section since the restaurant is not that small.

Fast & friendly service, nice open area that did not feel loud or crowded. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. My husband loved his coffee. I could eat a full plate of the banana nut waffles daily. Never a complaint with Yolk and when we left our to go bag behind the busser ran after us and brought it to our car! This location went above and beyond and we cannot wait to return.

I ordered avocado toast , breakfast burritos & French toast.The breakfast burrito was WET & had absolutely no flavor. Even the verde salsa had no taste. Needed seasoning BAD.The avocado toast came on bread(not toasted) avocado, tomato, red onions, chopped salmon & dill spread & capers.It would've been good if the bread was actually toasted & there wasn't a mountain of red onions... for $17 that's disappointingThe French toast was the only thing good. Plain ole French toast ... which was buy 1 get 1 free...I spent $65 on this. Definitely waste of money

Katerina was exceptional I love her warm welcome, her customer service is very traditional and the service I expect when walking into an establishment. Please management acknowledge Katerina and give her praise you don't meet too many pleasant servers in these times.
Yolk is a great chain! The food is always so good! 1st time at the Oak Park River Forest location. I got the Rickey Omelet and my partner got the Corned Beef and Eggs. Our server was super sweet. The lady who brought out our food spilled the whole tray of our food; the 1st time brought out our food. My partner got syrup all over her shirt because of the error. She definitely should have brought the table/holder tray stand for bringing out the food. I do understand mistakes happen.
