The rudeness and disregard for customer service was unbelievable. Very dissapointed was a nice place from early memories of 20+ years ago. Now was embarrassed by the treatment of customers. Seen better treatment in prison movies, only regret is my kids will never relive a place from my childhood. There are alot better places with better food/customer service. Do not waste your time here.

My friends and I stopped in for a quick bite after hitting up Hala Kahiki. The dogs and fries definitely hit the spot and were a good taste of Chicago for my quick visit before heading home to Abu Dhabi. If you are looking for a Chicago dog and are in this part of town, definitely stop by Gene & Jude's!

Absolutely disgusting. Been coming here for over 10 years. The dirty guy who made the hot dogs for my parents basically took his glove and wiped everything from the back countertop by the fries on the hot dog and then did SAME thing again on the front counter. Why not just sweep the floor and dump it on the hot dog while you are at it? When I say wipe, I mean the way you clean a counter and make sure there are no spots. Wiping his glove 5 times or more across a counter and putting it on a hotdog!Didn’t even wrap them correctly. Fries were awful and stomache was upset by the person obviously? My mistake for taking the food but I was afraid they would yell or shout- tough people in there. To give credit, the other guys were NOT doing what he did and their hot dogs looked perfect! Regardless, never ever going back and will tell everyone to stay away unless they want garbage dog
Food was amazing, all the toppings worked together so well! The line went by incredibly fast, and our food came just as quick! Being there was so welcoming and fun, and as a sweet bonu s, you get great food for a great price! I was absolutely stuffed for like 5$! Amazing place, loved it!
