The owner/ bartender was a great guy. He made idle conversation which is what I was looking for after a long drive to the area. He said the sliders were fantastic but was put of stock on the meat.

This is my favorite bar. I was glad when the current owner bought it because I didn't like the previous owner. Great place to have a beer and make new friends. Convenient to walk there when you live in the neighborhood and just want to get out of the house. Lucky you live in River Grove.

First time here…. Only went was to bring someone to a event they were having. Went and sat at the bar while i waited for the event to end. 10 mins waiting with maybe 4 people at the bar and the bartender would not acknowledge me or anything but would serve anybody that came to the bar. Im guessing she thought i would leave asked what i wanted. Didnt know it was cash only and tried use the atm which was not working… the look on her face when i asked if there was a gas station or anywhere with a atm was priceless… finally lady said try it again… as my bank already told me i been declined 3 times from 2 different banks but look now it worked. Shot and beer good to go…. 30 mins to be acknowledged again… terrible…. Talk about feelin unwelcomed would be a understatement. I talked with a buddy and told him if we just popped in this establishment for a cocktail we would probably be not let in …. Refused service or the police called on us. I have been to bars all over the world frm dive dive bars to high glass bars but i have never and that is hard to put in words….. never had service like that…. If it was very busy totally understand but not a chance…. Atleast her replacement was nice and paid attention…. She got a tip and only served me a beer…. Racist and disrespectful establishment in river grove

business supports pigs, so it seems they also support being oppressed. white washed. not welcoming or friendly for people of color. stay away and do not give these people your hard earned money. support smaller businesses that don’t alienate you over the color of your skin.
