Stopped here on a whim on the way to the zoo. What a great find! Delicious empanadas. Got 6 different kinds and they were all really good! The habanero salsa was HOT in the best possible way. The woman behind the counter was great to deal with. Will definitely be back!
I'm vegan and tend to have a hard time finding vegan friendly options in the area. Not only did they have a few vegan empanadas to select from (spoiler alert, I tried them all), they were phenomenal!! Perfectly crispy on the outside and warm and favorable on the inside. I also tried their spicy chimichurri sauce. So yum! Will 100% be coming back and bringing my non-vegan husband. 10/10 would recommend.
This is a small food joint. Convenient for walks to grab a small bite and go, just what we like. We tried 6 different empanadas on two different occasions: mushroom, cheese, buffalo chicken, beef, spinach, and a vegan al pastor. Out of the 5, the best was the mushroom and cheese. My husband tried the meat and preferred the beef. I tried with the chimichurri sauce and without, and I don't think it needs the chimichurri. Personally, it overpowers the flavor of the empanada....
