I've passed this restaurant multiple times to and from work for weeks. I'm so so glad I finally stopped in. Tamales were delicious. Jalapeno and cheese ones are my all time favorite. So many options to choose from. The owner was so wonderful and made you feel at home. Amazing artwork for sale as well!
Y'all! Do NOT sleep on this place!! The vegan Tamales are all delicious! We had all of them! The atole was hot, but also yummy! Alex (I think was his name) is amazing. Great service, quaint spot. Our friend had non-vegan Tamales with el lote and loved everything as well. Definitely will be back here when we're in town.

My last trip to the area was when I noticed Tamale Hut Café and made note to stop next time I was in the city - today was the day!
I knew that this would be an awesome place for a great authentic tamale - I was definitely spot on.
I LOVE the vegan options offered - I tried a broccoli 🥦, a mushroom 🍄, and a chicken tamale. The green sauce was a very flavorful addition.
