I've passed this restaurant multiple times to and from work for weeks. I'm so so glad I finally stopped in. Tamales were delicious. Jalapeno and cheese ones are my all time favorite. So many options to choose from. The owner was so wonderful and made you feel at home. Amazing artwork for sale as well!
Y'all! Do NOT sleep on this place!! The vegan Tamales are all delicious! We had all of them! The atole was hot, but also yummy! Alex (I think was his name) is amazing. Great service, quaint spot. Our friend had non-vegan Tamales with el lote and loved everything as well. Definitely will be back here when we're in town.
This is a pleasant place to get a wide variety of tamale flavors. I ordered the tamale special which comes with two tamales, a side, and a drink. I added an extra tamale to try another flavor. The chicken mole tamale was my favorite! The chicken in chile verde salsa could have been better with more salsa, but you can order extra salsa on the side. I also ordered the sweet pineapple tamale and it had a nice level of sweetness, but I would have liked it more if it had pineapple...
