The cold brew with syrup was not my favorite, but the hot coffee was very, very good. I recommend just a basic hot coffee, cream, and sugar to your liking. Would return for the hot coffee kind of a strange location around a forest preserve but close to me so not bad.

Love this place! After the HP Shooting, my family had no where to go and we drove until we found somewhere that was open. This was the place! The owner happened to be there and let us hide out until we had access to go back home. Beyond their care for community, I would argue that it is the best prepared coffee in Illinois - North Shore for SURE! I am from Washington state, just south of Seattle. I spent a lot of time working in coffee - Cafe De Oro is the closest thing to Seattle Coffee life that the area has to offer. Great community, great coffee and plus THEY HAVE A DRIVE THROUGH and REMEMBER! your drink. Like we stepped back in time when customer service mattered and your coffee was made correctly with care. Thank you Cafe De Oro. We love you!

Was in the area and got hungry. Came across this wonderful gem! Upon entering the atmosphere is very comfy and cozy. I was also offered a sample of ice cream upon entering that was more than a spoonful. They have a wide selection of drinks and a smaller selection of food. The staff was so kind and warm. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and affogato. Neither disappoint. I was left full and with a new favorite café.
