Dinner was awesome! Growing up in SoCal and with my Aunt's cooking homestyle for me, I got spoiled. I had the crunchy taco dinner with shredded beef. The experience took me back to my younger days. Dinner was definitely homestyle, the whole dinner was home made even to the fried taco shells. The atmosphere and service made me feel at home. If your looking for a homestyle experience, this is a must. I have been there many times and it keeps getting better each time.

We used to go to the Mexican restaurant that was at the same location. Barrio Agave opened up last fall, and we finally had a chance to try it out. The food was excellent. The owners were extremely nice and friendly. They explained how the menu comes from their part of Mexico in the southwest near Puerto Vallarta. We will definitely be back.

It's all right. I was really excited for a new Mexican place after El Tapatio disappeared (that was my favorite in town by far), but I was kind of turned off by the fancy/modern/hip/whatever vibe they seemed to be going for with the promo video and everything. I've been in a few times to try it anyway, though. The food is pretty good. I typically get street tacos at Mexican places, and theirs are quite good. Not really a fan of the chips and salsa, though. The chips are generic Mexican restaurant chips, but the salsa reminds me too much of tomato soup. It's about the same price as anywhere else around here. You can get a dinner for $10-15 unless you go crazy. The servers have all been very friendly, but maybe not the most attentive. The atmosphere is weird. It's a few of metal chairs and tables spaced oddly far apart with some trendy decorations here and there. I get that they're going for a café feel or whatever, but it's not my thing. I wish they had some booths at least.Overall I'm not that excited about it. I'll probably come back every once in a while to switch things up, but I'm still waiting for another great Mexican restaurant in Rochelle.

Food was delicious. Great service. Seating wasn't the most comfortable. Limited chicken options on menu. Big portions and good pricing. Would definitely recommend. Especially for carry out because of the seating.
