I went there for the first time today with my husband for his birthday. The food was fabulous and we were extremely grateful and happy with the service. It is a rare thing nowadays to have good service at restaurants! Very very friendly service and atmosphere. I would highly recommend it. The drinks and dessert were to die for. I had the apple pie cider Margarita I think it was called. Super YUMMY😋 He got to wear the sombrero while the sang Happy Birthday

Had an amazing date night with my husband this afternoon. We had their special dinner with steak and shrimp and I had the steak taco dinner . The steak was tender and tasty and we loved the rice and beans . We also shared a churro cheesecake for dessert. Will definitely be making it there more often.

Fantastic Mexican food! Was just passing through town and stopped by Las Tapatias and glad I did. The food was tasty, the service was great, and it was very adorable. Highly recommend if you live in Rochelle or are just visiting. Well worth a quick detour off the interstate.

Amazing food, and generally great service, sometimes employees seem to have friends or family in the restaurant and their focus shifts to them while you’re dining in. Had to get up and go to the register to ask for our check after waiting a while since our waitress was sitting at a table and didn’t seem like she was going to check in anytime soon

Update: We've had better experiences lately. I've been quite happy with it! They are very friendly in there, and the food is good.

I really want to like this place, but it's just been okay so far. My tacos were super good the first time, but the food has been average on subsequent visits. The service is hit or miss. On our last visit, there were only 2 waitresses working when the restaurant was nearly full, and we didn't see our waitress for about 20 minutes after getting drinks and placing our order. I don't mind waiting for the food, but we could have used refills on drinks in the meantime at least.

Fantastic new spot in town! The birria is super flavorful, in everything from quesadillas to ramen. If you’re adventurous (ie. you like good food) try the tejuino drink — sweet, salty, and spicy with lime, what’s not to like?
