Ate there recently with wife.Food tasted like it had been out all day.I ran out of my drink and asked for a refill.Waitress took my cup and never came back.As Iwas finishing asked waitress about drink.Said she had forgotten but I had seen her in back on her phone. Brought me drink AFTER I was getting up to pay bill.Told her I didn't want or need it now.Dekalb or Sterling 10 times better.

I’ve seen this place for years but never been inside. It looks run down outside but I figured why not give it a try. I love Americanized Chinese food…so I’m not exactly picky. I wasn’t expecting fancy…just decent.
The inside is as run down as the outside. It’s not great looking. Paint is peeling, drywall is cracked in parts, wood finishes have seen better days. The ceilings are stained. But hey…sometimes that’s where the best food is right? The dive spots?
Not in this case. There are a few bright spots in the buffet but as a whole it’s very low grade food (even for takeout standards.) There are several different kinds of chicken, some beef, and a surprising amount of seafood (which I did not eat)
The best food I had was the generals chicken and the honey chicken. Both reminiscent of Chinese takeout places in the past I swore I’d never return to. Nothing to write home about.
As far as cleanliness, it does seem like the staff are taking care of the food, making sure it’s at the correct temperature and as fresh as a buffet can be. They were kind and hospitable.
The major bummer for me was, at the end of a meal that simply didn’t pass for quality, a $33 bill for the two of us was produced. Plus tip.
I paid over $15/person for below average Chinese food in a run down facility. I would love to report that this place was awesome…but I cannot.
I would not recommend eating here.

This was way better than expected. We arrived right as they opened at 11am. Most of the food was out ready to eat. Some were still being brought out. Everything was very fresh and hot
Service was perfect. Food was delicious, seasoned and hot. My only issue was there was no sushi. But for as delicious everything was I am not complaining
I'm a big buffet fan, I'm use to the food being a little stale and only warm. But this was all hot and very fresh. If you are in the area you're lucky. Buffets around me don't compare at all to this place. If I'm ever back in Rochelle I will totally come back here
The imitation crab and cheese dish was the best I've ever had. Cheese muscles were hot and flavorful. Fried fish was delicious, soups were made and seasoned perfectly. Best buffet experience I've had in a long time. I'd be a very proud owner of this place. Good job I will be back

The food was very good as usual. The service is just as good. The fact that they are growing a garden outside the restaurant to feed Rochelle's local "less than fortunate population" is AMAZING!!! Thank God someone is doing something to help their community!!!
