I wanted to take my daughter to lunch, sat there for 10 minutes, until a person asked if we had menus, I said no, she walked away. Waited another 5 minutes and left. I have eaten there before and the food was great. Today's service, or lack of, was terrible.

We arrived and the sign said seat yourself. We sat down and after 10 minutes with nobody checking in we asked a passing waiter for a menu. We asked if he would be our waiter. He said he did not know. We waited 5 more minutes for a waiter to stop by and none did so we left and went elsewhere. Food rating is average since we had no food. The place looked nice and was pretty full so maybe they just had new people who were not up to speed. The name is now Luna so maybe a new operation.
Update: Owner was very concerned about my experience and contacted me quickly after I posted this review. He asked me all about it so he could make improvements. I was impressed with his efforts and assume our experience was due to new employees. I would definitely give them another try since it is a nice place with a beautiful view.

We just went this past weekend, now under the new ownership and name, Luna. The food was fantastic. They have a done a great job renovating the interior and exterior, including a new patio. Our server was nice, but seemed unsure of what was offered on the menu, and how to work the system when taking the order. They are still in the infancy stage and I am sure will get that ironed out!

Just flat outstanding. One issue was Google lists as Salt 251 but sign now says LUNA and phone answers LUNA. Anyway, had the fish, steak fries, coleslaw, Friday night LATE like 15 minutes before the grill closed and service was prompt, with a smile, and here we go, the fish-huge filet, beautiful light crispy batter, fabulous flavors. Tarter Sauce, I have to be one of the pickiest a__ when it comes to tarter sauce and I was floored, outstanding. And lastly the steak fries, some of the best I have had, 1st, they were cooked properly and done on the inside, to many places fail here with steak fries, Luna nails it!!!. Now, how often does a manager or owner come up to you after you are almost done to ask how we were, our thoughts on the food, little conversation and I was VERY pleased at the care of customers!!! Our server checked on us at least 3 or more times. Lastly, the prices were unreal and so competitive it is unbelievable. We will continue now to drive from Rockford once in a while now and visit for lunch or dinner. JUST FLAT 5 STAR ALL THE WAY. Keep it up please. Thank You.

Visited Salt 251/Luna on April 12th 2024 for dinner and drinks with 2 friends. Service was terrible by our server. Owner was aware while we were there that service by the waitress was poor at best. I left a tip to reflect the service provided. I did however tip the bartender separate as she is the only one who provided our beverages.A few days later I noticed with my bank the waitress or someone there inflated the tip by $9. I contacted the business 3x to correct this and give back what was stolen.No one has responded and to me that is an admission of guilt by the establishment.Would never recommend spending money here especially on a card purchase.Edit to add: management finally contacted me. Offered gift card which was refused. After some back and forth I was given a cash refund without any apology for the situation.

Great restaurant with great view of golf course, newly updated and outdoor patios bring constructed.
Had a very enjoyable end to a long car-trip day here. It’s almost across the street from Tesla chargers. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Wide selection of foods. Grilled haddock dinner was tasty and a great value, with lots of fish , vegetables and baked potato. Excellent hamburger with shrimp scampi topping. Try the tuxedo bombe for dessert—creamy, chocolately yumminess. This is a sports bar with finer dining atmosphere and touches.You’ll find it at the public golf course. They must be using the old sign which says Luna. We walked between buildings and left toward the patio to enter.

Very poor service. The servers have no personality, non apologetic for wait times or forgetting drinks that were ordered. Arrived at 5pm. Ordered 2 drinks with a friend, one for each of us. I finally got my drink at 5:40. Her drink didn’t come until after 6pm and had to order a different drink than originally ordered. Very poor service. Either they need more help or hire someone who doesn’t have dementia. We could see that even others around us were getting frustrated with the service as well. They must like professionally apologizing for a living b/c that’s all they are doing.

We had our work happy hour here. I called in advance to reserve a table and told them what company I work for. When we came in, we were greeted with a cute welcome sign including our company logo and a table set up with water carafes and menus. The servers were so friendly and patient with us which is ironic because the woman’s name is Patience. We all ordered difficult drinks (that were on special) and they brought them out quickly with lovely touches such as the sphere ice cubes and garnishes. The hospitality was amazing considering the size of our party and the manager even texted me the next day thanking us for coming and said they enjoyed having us. I would recommend Salt to everyone; the appetizers and drinks were amazing and service was incredible. This is our 2nd happy hour here and there is a reason we came back and will be back again.
