I visited on Sunday morning, and the food was absolutely outstanding my entire family loved it. I will definitely do my best to return. It was, without a doubt, the best Mexican food I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, we felt the warmth of a family owned business. Our server, a very kind lady, along with her daughter, made the experience even more special. It was busy morning, the young girl immediately jumped into helping, which was impressive to see, especially when many others young girls might just be relaxing at home. After our meal, a customer came in who seemed a bit out of it, and the staff apologized, but I told them not to worry, it was actually entertaining, and we didn’t have to pay for the show! Overall, we absolutely loved this place!

Clean little place in a strip mall and as I arrived right at noon, not very busy. I was encouraged to see/hear the small crowd speaking Spanish. I decided on the Guisado de res verde and it was delicious. I have some friends in Chicago and I immediately texted them that should they ever be near Rochelle, that they should definitely give this place a try. If I weren’t just passing through cross country, I would definitely come back regularly.

The food is absolutely delicious, authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and generous portions that never disappoint. What I love most is the consistency; every time I go, the quality of both the food and service is excellent. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a casual meal with family or celebrate a special occasion, and you’ll always leave satisfied. Highly recommend Tecalitlan, definitely one of my favorite spots.
I’m giving this taco restaurant two stars only because the atmosphere was decent—not for the food or service. Honestly, this is the second-worst taco place in our small town. My last visit I ordered a steak burrito, and it was extremely disappointing—it tasted awful, almost inedible. After I took one bite the burrito didn’t have a chance to pass go or collect $200 went straight into the trash. The experience left such a bad impression that I doubt I’ll ever return. There are far better options in town for quality Mexican food.

Stop by this restaurant yesterday around 2pm, food was great, the head tacos are amazing! Two young kids were working a boy and a girl very kind, very attentive asking the tables if they needed something! I liked seeing young kids working together and doing a good job, other places kids are just on there phones smh. Young kids probably like 16-17, it reminded me of me n my sister working and helping my parents. Love too see hardworking kids. I’m a truck driver I asked them if I could order to go beacsue I didn’t want my truck to be tow, but they kindly said it was fine for me to park, and to dine in. My server was very kind and helpful. She recommended caldo de res and I took it too go it was fabulous, will be back whenever I’m around !
Service, and the chips, were mediocre. However, ambiance, margaritas, and main food was EXCELLENT, making it overall well worth a visit.
