I have been going here since I was a little girl. My fiance & I came up from Florida to visit family - couldn't wait for him to try the true authentic Mexican food in the area, & best he has ever tried. Will always be my favorite place to stop in. 5/5 stars. Worth every penny . Highly recommend

I walked in and stood there for awhile, no staff around. Finally a small child gave me a menu and sat me. Eventually, someone came out and took my order. I got the pork tacos and there was a lot of grizzle/fat that I had to spit out. Flavor was good. Chips were stale. They dropped the food off and never checked on me; never got a beverage refill. I had to ask to pay so I could leave agyer 15 mins of sitting there. Very poor service. Did I mention I was the only one there? Another couple came in as I was leaving but they obviously had the time to check on me and chose not to.

The waiters was outstanding. The food was down home echatic Mexican food was great.the restaurant was clean and quiet. I live in Rochelle Illinois and this is the only Mexican restaurant I come to eat at. Best drinks and food, hands down. You'll love it there!!
So I live near the city of Chicago. I know good Mexican food since I am Mexican and have tried numerous places. Today I came to this location, since I was visiting family. The place is old and it smells musty. The bathroom were at least clean. The food was not good at all. It was very disfuncional, as if they cannot handle big groups. The steak tacos were not good at all. They also ran out of horchata within the hour and half they opened up. Would I be coming back ?? NO!! Im not sure where all these good reviews are coming from. Because of the reviews we decided to visit this place but it was just a waste of money.

The food and service was really good. I had the goat birria and it was very authentic. The waitress was always checking on us to see if we were good or needed anything. I did notice cobwebs and dust around the restaurant.
Ordered delivery, horchata was overly sweet, chips and queso were horrible, queso was thick and pasty, horribly salty and my enchiladas were soggy and overly cheesy including the toppings being soggy, rice & beans flavorless and overcooked-old. I paid a 7$ delivery fee, plus a 6$ tip and a service fee for horrible food. I will be ordering from El Sol or El Senor de los tacos, supporting their local business, fresh food, 1/3 of the cost and they offer delivery without all the extra fees. Will not be supporting this business, I had them years ago but they have gone horribly in the wrong direction.
