If you are staying at Ballys overnight, this is the best choice for dinning on the property. The food is fine and not crazy expensive. Service was slow. It took 30 minutes for nachos and then 15 more minutes to get our meal. I had the corned beef, it was tough. The nachos were actually pretty good. My husband said the Cajun pasta was good also.

We both had the prime rib, it was ok, 12oz. with 4oz. of fat. Husband said his had large piece of grilse running through the middle and wasn't very tender. I thought mine was tender enough.

The food was good. Not my favorite place in Iowa but it was good. My husband's burger was very good. I got the seabass. I was really looking forward to the beet salad and roasted vegetables and they were not as good as I had expected.

Food and drinks were great. Some menu items are pricey, but the salads and entrees were large. Oddly, we were seated at a table that was not set, even though most were and we were among the few early diners. We were rushed a bit, with entrees brought out while we were still eating our salads.

The 2 stars are for the server, Danel. She was amazing. The food was terrible. No flavor, over cooked, the “crispy” Brussel sprouts are just burnt. They need a new chef and a new owner with those prices and poor quality.

When making the reservation, I was asked if it was a special occasion. I answered “Anniversary”. It was our 51st one! This led me to believe it would be acknowledged when we were there. Nothing was mentioned by anyone. I think you should take that question off.

I as usual had the small filet with mashed potatoes. It was cooked just as I ordered. My husband decided to try the sea bass this time. He had a salad to accompany it. The whole experience was very enjoyable.

Absolutely horrible!! Slow service. Over cooked filet. Which was so tough I doubt it was even a filet. Over cooked a second time. Lobster tail was tougher than the steak. Over cooked to the point it lost all seafood flavor and tasted like nothing. Do not eat here. Looks nice online, but it isn’t. I wished I read these reviews before eating here

Servers are fine, but if your best thing is a burger at a steak house that's a major problem. They need to get a new chef. I was there 3 days in a row - Comped is why I would not pay those prices for that quality. Day 1 ordered 9oz filet med rare and it can med well and I just ate it as I did not want to wait for another. Mashed potatoes and wine was good. Day 2 I ordered prime rib and it was med not med rare that was not the bad part the bad part is that it tasted like nothing. Just meat flavor. No seasoning. Wine and rest was fine. Day 3 I ordered the burger medium and it cam well done but it was juicy and decent but the fries were horrible. They add some chives and other junk that just look bad and dont taste well. I just scraped all that junk off.
Overall the food wasn’t bad but not worth the prices that they are charging. Brussels sprouts were over cooked and dry then prime rib was over salted on the crust and too chewy for $30+ price tag. Don’t waste your time and just go to the buffet.

For a fifty dollar filet it was like eating shoe leather. Way way overcooked- ordered it medium well but it was butterflied and was soooo extremely dried out it was hard to choke down .

The bartender wasn't friendly at all and didn't know about basic menu items when asked. Overall, waste of money for the quality of food we received. Extremely disappointed!

It is a very limited menu and I was suorised and a little disappointed that there was not a ribeye on the menu. I got the NY strip steak instead and it was very good, cooked like I like and seasoned perfectly. The baked loaded baked potato was amazing! Service was great and the waitresses do the jobs of like 5 people. Great job!

We both ordered the filet and it was melt in your mouth delicious. The baked potato was soft to the cut and was very good (for a potato). The bread was nicely warmed and had a good flavor to it. Our waitress was attentive and assisted with recommendations. Did I mention the steak was fantastic? I would definitely recommend and a nice addition to the QC area.
