Ordered delivery.
Ordered chicken lo mein, orange chicken, and eggrolls.
The only thing with any flavor was the orange chicken and it wasn't very good.
Noodles were soggy and squishy

I moved to Rock Island 2 months ago meaning I had to find a new favorite Chinese Restaurant near me. I tried a few nearby and was getting worried because the I found were at most, mediocre. Then one day I stopped here to get some Egg Drop Soup for my sick boyfriend.I love Egg Drop Soup when I am ill so I figured he would too, but luckily for me, that was not his thing so I was able to consume it. It was spectacular.I returned to grab some dinner about a week or so later so I could see if the meals were as good as the soup. This time, I came home with Szechuan Shrimp. That is an old favorite but ever since the old Dragon House in Davenport closed, I had yet to find a place that could compare to their version. Until now! I devoured the meal entirely which is very unusual but I ate every bite as my other half watched in amazement at how food could send his girlfriend into such euphoria. Then, our roommate and I headed up to the place again the other night. We each purchased a meal, soup and some fired wontons. We took it home and another homer with the food.Oriental express has now officially become my go-to for Chinese cuisine. The other places in the neighborhood are not horrible, it is just that they cannot match the food perfection nor are they nearly as friendly as the beautiful girl who has waited on me every time. She is amazing herself.I do not know what the plans are for the dining room here. It is hidden by plastic tarps hanging and that does give the place a very odd "ambiance". I hope that is not a permanent look for them but even if it is, I will still get my Chinese cravings satisfied here. I recommend you do the same!

My family of 12 ordered Christmas Eve lunch from here and not only did they have every single thing ready to go on time for pickup, but they’d labeled all the containers AND gave us a free dessert as a thank you for our order. Thank YOU, Oriental Express for your excellent service! :)

Food was pretty good, a little pricey but at least tasty. But they only have canned pop or bottled water for drinks. Not much for dine in, 2 tables and the rest is covered with plastic for no use.

Doubt that I wouldn't love the food just tired of no delivery that isn't twice the cost. I'm not afraid to tip well, but why pay twice the price and also be expected to tip well
I got there after dark and the staff was very friendly and kind to me. The food is extremely good at a good price. I will definitely be eating here again, hopefully soon!

The taste has changed recently. I have bad eyesight, but I was really surprised when I took the photo. Taking photos up close makes me more appetizing. It tastes better ?I will try dine-in next time. The portion size also kept me satisfied. I want to try all their menu. I will eat there often.
Parking: This is a new little store I discovered. There is enough parking space.
Kid-friendliness: Children's appetites whet their appetites when they smell the fragrance.
We used to get take out from here often in the last 20 years, but no longer! They discontinued their lunch menu and the new menu is sub-par with many old favorites gone. The crab rangoons were greasy and had almost no filling. The egg rolls were horrible made with bad cabbage! The sesame chicken lacked sesame seeds and was full of little bones! Well..you get the idea! Bye bye Oriental Express!

I would always go to Oriental Express to get my food but it looks like maybe it's under New Management with new people and the food was horrible and I gave it a second try and the food was still horrible the second time so I will not be back again and they need to clean cuz it is looking bad in

Do Better!! Ordered the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and crab Rangoon. The chicken was over cooked. No crab Rangoon received. No pineapple/ green peppers/ carrots or onions with order (as advertised). Oh and the rice left a lot to be desired.
we have been ordering egg rolls from this location for years. management changed a few times and the egg rolls got smaller but still good taste! We don’t dine in because the atmosphere is dark and gloomy and could use a good remodel from the floor up. the food is good so that’s why I rated 4 stars
