I grew up in Colona/east moline area and Rudy’s is my fav. I craved this place thru two pregnancies. Every time I come home to visit I go here! Tostados and cheese crisps are my fav.
Not all Rudy's Tacos restaurants are the same and each have unique hard shell tacos. This location, by far, has the best hard shell tacos because they make their shells fresh to order and that makes all the difference in the world. Perhaps the tacos could be even better dependent on the content of the taco, but these are great and the crunch of the shell without getting mushy by the time I get it home to eat is why these tacos are worth seeking out. #NomNomNom 🌮🌮🌮
Just stopped into the rock island location this evening. Hadn't realized they close so early so we showed up just 30mins before closing time. Despite clearly trying to close the staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was fast and super fresh. Rudy's atmosphere generally isn't for me but it's not bad. It's just for somebody else.
