Our first experience at this local place. I had high expectations, so I will need to visit again. The hostess seated us quickly, the place was pretty empty for a Friday at noon-ish. The busser brought us water and silver immediately. Great first impression. Step in the server? Not so impressed, a little crass and seemed “irritated” and like we were wasting his time. Maybe he was mad we came so close to closing time (2:30pm) but he never once told us his name, nor did he act like he cared. Food was good, but it was not even WARM. I ordered crepes and they were cool to the touch. Again, maybe I expected too much. I’d like to see specialty coffees (you have a FULL service bar and endless mimosas but no specialty coffees?). I’d also like to see free refills for JUICE, instead of charging $4.00 for a highball glass of cranberry. And I’d definitely like to see some ability to combo - think Egg Harbor or something - if I want I add eggs and bacon it shouldn’t all be side orders. Lastly, for a small family owned restaurant, I was expecting competitive pricing. I was surprised at how expensive it seemed. $14.00 for crepes? Breakfast shouldn’t be $115 for 4 people. It just shouldn’t. I will leave open the 1% chance that our server was just having a bad day. I will give it one more try.
I will never step foot in there again. You know why? Because when I was with 7 other people one Friday afternoon, I was paying only for my ticket and I was overcharged $26 just for a grilled cheese sandwich and fries and a drink. That is unacceptable.
Went for breakfast, waited an hour for food and they proceeded to tell us there were 2 cooks and they are slow! There were 4 other tables in the restaurant? When our food appeared at our table it was cold crepes were hard as a rock, the skillet pan I could even hold in my hands. The whole staff was hanging in the kitchen afraid to show their faces they knew something was wrong. I wanted an honest answer and they lied straight faced!! My husband and I work in a restaurant, apologize and take the blame yourself, putting blame where it's not due is wrong. I personally think the health department was there at this time as a woman with a badge was on a computer at the bar and walked into the kitchen! This is the epitome of owners leaving an untrained staff. We left 30.00 on the table for our waitress and walked out never to return.

Delicious food, lots of options to choose from. In addition to typical diner options for breakfast there are variety of other options.

Contrary to all the positive reviews, my experience was the opposite. My neighbor and I went went to Cafe on the Grove for lunch, on a Wednesday at noon. We were seated promptly by a courteous greeter and our waitress arrived shortly after being seated and was also very polite and friendly. The restaurant was not very busy. We ordered the lunch special, a half sandwich, soup and chips for my neighbor and a soup and salad for me. After a 15 minute wait our food arrived. He ordered a turkey club but was given a grilled cheese, which was cold and soggy. Both our soups were stone cold and tasted very processed (creamy chicken with rice). My salad was just OK, very basic and a small size; the vinaigrette dressing also tasted very processed and too sweet. We didn't finish our lunches as both were unappetizing and the soup was suspect. While the restaurant decor is pleasant and appears to be newly remodeled, our food experience was a let down. The mix-up with the order, the poor quality ingredients, small portion sizes and the fact that our meals were cold made this a very poor value. I basically paid $13 + $3 tip for a tiny salad of green leaves and a glass of water. That's pretty bad value. After our visit we both went home and made ourselves a proper sandwich as we were both still hungry. Their kitchen staff, menu selection and quality of ingredients need further examination by the owner. Otherwise, I fear, Cafe on the Grove will be another restaurant casualty due to high prices, poor quality food and apparent ownership apathy.

This place is a hidden gem! Great service, cute atmosphere and wonderful menu, including a nice bar menu. The owners are locals, which I'm happy to support. I will definitely be back! Try it, I think you'll love it!

I’m visiting from California and loved trying this restaurant! The food is amazing, super fresh and delicious. I had the divorcaidos with hash browns. I added carnitas to my dish, so good! I can’t wait to go back the next time I’m in town.

We love our breakfast times here! The food is always great no matter what I order. Pancakes are great! Servers can sometimes be a little spacey but the management always makes sure we get what we need!

Came here today for breakfast, the atmosphere was cute and the drinks were strong but the food was disappointing. I ordered the chicken noodle soup which was cold, the Mexicana skillet which comes with the following;Chorizo(I substituted for carnitas), Jalapeños, Pico de Gallo, Avocado. My omelette consisted of just meat, jalapeños, and cheese. I also opted to upgrade my pancakes to the blueberry lemon. They forgot to bring them, I asked if I could get them to go and they brought out regular pancakes. I then told the waitress I paid for the specialty pancakes.she gave me the same pancakes and threw some blueberries on top. Very disappointing!
Might be my new favorite place to get breakfast.
