If you are a chips and salsa fan and choose your Mexican restaurants based on that, you are going to be very disappointed. Chips were WAY to salty and the salsa was a chi-chi's/Pace clone.....very mediocre at best. Usually that is not a good sign of what is to come, but in this one case, it did not tell the whole story. The food was actually very good. I had steak enchiladas mole which was outstanding, and we also had shrimp fajitas which were also excellent. If you like mexican seafood dishes, this is definitely the place for you, and the menu has a ton of seafood options. We had a queso appetizer and it was decent.....but brought out cold. Definitely would've been better if hot. Overall it is worth giving this place a try. I would strongly suggest to the owner....less salt on the chips, and a new salsa recipe.

Enjoyed another great meal at Sayulita last night. This is my new favorite place for authentic Mexican food. And finally a Mexican restaurant that can make a good margarita! (Especially the Skinny and pineapple)  We had camarones with sayulita sauce, guacamole and shrimp tacos. Everything was excellent.

There aren't a lot of places you can go and find authentic Mexican food. This place over exceeds that expectation. Everything tastes fresh. There is so much flavor in the food and drinks it is unbelievable. There service is awesome and everyone there clearly loves what they do because everything is done with passion and you CAN SEE IT ! Will be back again for sure !

I always do my research before picking a restaurant, and for my birthday dinner this year, Sayulita did not disappoint! Rosie was an amazing server, and her recommendations were on point! The Chicken Sayulita, Langostinos, and Sea Bass were all incredible. The Tamarind Margarita was my favorite drink. The best compliment? My dad, who rarely recommends restaurants, said, 'I would definitely recommend this one.' Highly recommend checking it out! I already have lunch plans to go back this week! Can't wait! 😊

Some adults had the $35 dinner special for that week that gave you an option to pick one of 3 appetizers, pick one of 3 main dishes, and pick one of 2 desserts. We had the empanada app + langostino main + flan dessert. SO DELICIOUS! Some of our friends had burritos, quesadillas, and tacos. All delicious and had good portions. Our service was attentive and friendly. Food came out at perfect temp, and wait was not long at all. The place had a steady flow of restaurant patrons throughout the Friday night but the service was not lacking at all. The ambiance was festive, colorful, and loud. We loved it! We will definitely go back and try other dishes. Go and try some!

Went for valentines dinner, the service was horrible. The food was not great as they advertised it was. Asked our server multiple times for extra chips and salsa, utensils and didn't get them. Didn't even offered me a refill on my drink. Would not recommend or come back to this establishment.

Went for a birthday dinner with a group of 4. Upon checking in the host is confirmed that we were there for her birthday celebration. Our waiter was friendly but not very attentive and it wasn't busy at all. We all finished our drinks and waited nearly 19 minutes for him to ask if we wanted another. One guest got her meal late after we'd all received ours and no one addressed this. There were 2 other bday dinners going on around us and all received some singing and sombreros .  Not a huge deal but also weird to ignore especially since reservation said bday dinner for occasion. We've dined here many times it was the first time we felt service lacked in many ways.
