They put 5 potatoes and 3 corn in my molcajete and I had almost no shellfish. :(. But the mango michelada was good ?

We had tacos on Tuesday. Very quick and friendly service. Meats were very tasty on this visit. ?. I will be back.

Love this place. But the michelada is way better in the Elk Grove Location. Food is also better there. Sever was friendlier and more attentive in this Location ??‍♂️

Very pricey. Very good food, however you can find just as good food cheaper elsewhere. For the prices they charge, they added a charge on the bill for water, not bottled water, tap water. They also charge a fee to pay with your credit card. We enjoyed the first few times we visited but will not be back as the price gouging has gotten progressively worse.

I have been here about 3 times (including the day they opened) and I have been a Rolling Meadows resident for almost 20 years. I thought this place was amazing until this last time I went and their Steak Taco Dinner (3 steak tacos, beans and rice...typical) and it cost over $20 for ONE plate. I will never return to this establishment and I will stop recommending it to my friends. We do not live in Northbrook, Chicago or Barrington.. You should consider the people you are feeding on the for front!

Amazing location! Food was perfection and our server Irvin was very kind and respectful. I recommend the Taco Roca and the steak and chicken tacos. Good eats!

This is no longer Grande Jake's, so keep in mind any reviews older than summer 2022 don't apply to the new place.

Out of a lot of things we ordered. However service was good.

Tourists from Michigan. We were looking for a place that was open and this place was delicious. The presentation of the food & drinks was actually pretty creative. Most importantly it was delicious. Also, I had a taco and did not spill it in my lap. Please mark your calendars, random internet people, because this is a momentous occasion. Also, I miss my dog. He's with my parents in Michigan.

I enjoyed the CAMARÓN AL PASTOR and of course, the chips and salsa! The green and red sauces weren't too spicy either!

This is no longer Grande Jake's. It is now El Rey Del Marisco Mexican Grill, which also has a location on Biesterfield in Elk Grove. The four-star rating is NOT a reflection of the quality of the food, merely a disappointment that the great tasting, high value burritos and salsa bar are no longer available. The emphasis is more on seafood and, aside from tacos ($3.50-$4.00) or a quesadilla plate ($7+), you'll be paying at least $11 for anything else.

My husband and I went to the Rolling Meadows location and loved the food which came promptly the salsa bar casual happy atmosphere as well as the huge amount of really good food. An added bonus was the kind attentive staff including the owner Jake who stopped at our table several times and made us feel as if we knew each other for years. We will be regulars now.
