Honeyberry Pancakes and Cafe

I was really looking forward to breakfast here, but unfortunately, my experience was quite upsetting. While eating inside the restaurant, I was bitten/stung by a bee, something I never expected indoors. What made things worse was that, despite being in pain and clearly uncomfortable, no one offered any help, checked on me, or even suggested packing my food so I could leave. I ended up having to pack it myself, which felt very inconsiderate. It’s a shame, because the food looked nice, but the lack of care and customer service completely ruined the experience for me.

Everything was very tasty and cozy, and the staff was welcoming. This was our second visit, but once again the check was brought before my boyfriend and I had even finished half of our food, we hadn’t asked for it. I’d kindly suggest not doing this, as it can feel a bit impolite to guests. I work in hospitality myself, so I do understand how things run. Maybe it’s part of your policy, but I think it might be worth reconsidering. Thank you!

This is our first time trying this location, as my husband went to the boilingbrook location and had good things to say.
The wait time was almost non existent, which should have been the first sign for this time of day on a Sunday.
The atmosphere is atheistically pleasing in a white woman’s instagram feed kind of way, if you’re into that.

I ordered a Bloody Mary. The menu stated more things would be inside of the drink that were not added, which is not that big of a deal but I felt it worth mentioning.
The food came out almost too quickly.
I ordered the homestyle Benedict. It was bland at best. The poached eggs were severely undercooked (if you serve brunch and cannot poach an egg, what are you even doing?) and the sausage parties were very obviously frozen at some point. The biscuits were also flavorless.

My husband ordered the lox and a bagel with a side of 2 over easy eggs. His eggs were also severely undercooked. To the point of there being a puddle of egg whites on the plate. The menu gave no indication that the lox and bagel would be served in an adult lunchable type of way. The tomatoes were nearly a half an inch thick with 4 slices of rolled up salmon to make the serving size appear bigger. It was also served with thickly sliced cucumber for whatever reason. Cream cheese came in a plastic container out of a cafeteria and the bagel barley seemed toasted.

Service was wonderful. We did not mention any of this to our server as none of this was her fault, we do feel she would have been deeply apologetic if we had however.

All in all. We do not plan on coming back, I don’t think you should either.

We've been to this breakfast spot a few times now. I think the only thing I did not like was the monte Cristo sandwich (too oily) but their banana bread French toast 10/10. Today I got the breakfast sliders. I upgraded to the premium pancaked and for $20ish dollars i have 3 meals!

I made a reservation for 3 adults and 2 toddlers. The wait staff was attentive. This was our first visit and took our time to decide what to order. We didn't feel rushed. The food arrived hot and was delicious. The portions were generous and we took home leftovers. We will be going back.

Every time I come here I always have a great experience. The staff is always so nice and the atmosphere is always so fun and warm. Angel always happens to be our waitress and she always is super sweet

Food was flavorful, even the scrambled egg whites! The red velvet pancakes are AMAZING and the service was pleasant and timely. Highly recommend!

Waitress didn't want to be here or something her attitude horrible, asked for water brought it in dirty and food was undercooked salty horrible service. Ashley i think was her name. This being 1st visit will be last. Just felt like guess were bothersome not to mention comments made in Spanish about customers.
