I had the Argentinian style NY steak with vegetables and potatoes. The steak had more tendons than I expected but the tenderness and temperature was on point! I don’t even like vegetables and these were great. The Phoenix flame potatoes were amazing! So much so I ordered some to go. This place is a diamond in the rough.

Best food in the Chicago suburbs hands down. My wife and I have been going here every chance we get for years now (including the previous location). Owner is great, and willing to make recommendations; you can’t go wrong with anything you try (we’ve never had a single meal we didn’t like to date) but his recommendations are always spot on when you’re not sure what to get. We also recommended this place to family (including one food snob) and they also fell in love with it. The quality of food and amazing flavors will win you over. If you haven’t tried it out yet, you don’t know what you’re missing.

Amazing service, food and atmosphere!! My wife, me and 4 friends came in to eat. I got the salmon my wife got the salmon sandwich and others at our table got different kinds of steaks. The ultimate steak sandwich was so good. My buddy Joel had me try it and I will definitely get that next time. Everything was amazing! We

Landing at O'Hare with dreams of sinking my teeth into one of Au Cheval's famed burgers, my plans were abruptly rerouted by a colleague's suggestion on our last night - a suggestion that led us to Flaming Phoenix in Rolling Hills, IL, just a stone's throw from the Schaumburg Renaissance. Initially dismayed by the change, especially upon entering a nondescript strip mall, my skepticism deepened. Yet, the moment we stepped inside, the eclectic beats and equally diverse menu of Caribbean and Middle Eastern fare hinted at an unexpected culinary adventure. The owner, upon learning of our choices, confidently declared the Ultimate Steak Sandwich I opted for – ranked #6 on Yelp – a worthy rival to Au Cheval's burger. Challenge accepted. Our foray into Flaming Phoenix's offerings began with the Martinez Cup appetizer: a delightful array of tostone plantain cups brimming with crunchy greens, tomatoes, and a vibrant chimichurri sauce, each crowned with impeccably cooked shrimp, salmon, and steak. This appetizer alone set the tone for an evening of culinary brilliance. Then arrived the pièce de résistance – the Steak Sandwich. It was nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. Nestled within a soft, airy bun lay a toasty grilled cheese pocket, layers of fork-tender marinated steak, all brought together with a smooth, creamy aioli. Despite my growing fullness, the dish commanded my complete attention, ensuring not a single bite nor any of the hand-cut fries went to waste. Leaving any behind would have felt almost criminal.Flaming Phoenix, with its unassuming location and unique fusion of flavors, transformed my initial disappointment into a gastronomic delight I'd eagerly recommend. This hidden gem in Rolling Hills, IL, surpasses mere convenience, offering an unforgettable dining experience that challenges even the most acclaimed burgers.

Decided to go here after plans changed and glad we did. It was fantastic. The staff was incredible and very knowledgeable of the menu. The steak was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. The Chef altered the seasonal vegetables due to allergies and it was delicious. Will be back the next time in Schaumburg.

OMG, OMG, OMG.Loved this place. The small dining area has wonderful ambiance and, more importantly, the food was amazing. We had the Hangover Soup, the Martha Salad, the short ribs, a steak and the lamb kabobs. All were delicious. We're definitely coming back again and bringing our foodie friends.

Great food, great owners. One of the owners is the chef. They both will come out and make sure everyone is enjoying the food.
