Great place to hang out with friends to get a drink and talk

Had some great beers at this Roscoe brewery. It may be in a strip plaza, but it's better than it looks. Crazy Llama is run by military veterans, and is their way of raising awareness for veteran issues. For sure the beers help bring in people. The list has a good variety of these. A place like this is all about the beers. It's about $8 a pint. That may be kind of high but it's common for a microbrewery like this. Even so it has quite a few on tap to choose from. The best one of these we had was the Llama Juice. It's a strong one at 7.5% ABV. This is an IPA that's not all hoppy. Great place to get locally made beers. It's located in a strip plaza with plenty of parking. There's no food on the menu but you can bring in something.

Great brews, cool place. They were sold out of merchandise and to-go product, so that was a little disappointing, but that just means we have to go back!

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and place was absolutely dead. Despite being some of the only people in the place, the two staff members seemed uninterested and distant.Drinking the beers was a struggle - one tasted like carbonated hot dog water and the other like fizzy gym socks. They were awful. It’s a nice space, but with no food and bad beer, it’s one of the worst taprooms we’ve ever visited.

Quite the lackluster experience for a local micro brewery. The beers (we tried 2) both tasted like home brews gone sour. I had a hard time choking it down. The bartender was silent and impersonal. While the interior is nice, the politics displayed don’t belong in a brewery.

On a random stop on a slow Sunday we found ourselves at the Crazy Llama, first timers here. From one of the co-owners, Chris, we got great service. I had a non-hazy IPA that was good. This is a big place with plenty of room and easy parking.

The beer is not great but for the price you can’t complain. I could do without the political statements on the ceiling but the complimentary pool is nice.Being in a strip mall for a brewery is a bit strange but I don’t blame them because that’s all Roscoe really is.

Please do not the beer.

Absolutely Ridiculous

Delicious beer, cool interior, and kind owner! My husband and I will definitely return. We are happy to support our local establishments.

Sorry I couldn’t recommend this this place. Most of their beers were sour and tasted terrible. They had some on menu crossed off they sold out and maybe those were better. We have been to hundreds of breweries and by far the worst beers we have ever tried. Atmosphere wasn’t good either.

Nice to see another brewery option in the Rockford region. The beer didn't disappoint, and they had some flavor profiles I hadn't tasted before, although $8 for one of the beers was a bit of a surprise. The free pool table was a welcomed experience.
