Hidden gem to traumatic bonding experience.
A year ago, my friend and I went here once, twice and then a third time because it was a marvel: affordable and tasty food and drinks that packed a punch.
We were excited to return to such a nice place for the second year, but the problem was evident before we even stepped inside.
A DJ playing music tantamount to auditory crimes against humanity at levels where the waitress had to yell into my ear to even hear her met us from the street outside. My friend and I had to text each other to communicate across the table.
Before we even got there, a $20 cover charge per person greeted us after we got patted down at the bottom of the stairs.
We were informed once seated that they had no food service besides chips and salsa/guac, at 11:30pm. We got two drinks, mine came with the $2 extra shot, my friend's did not, and with the chips and guac, the two drinks, the $2, (not counting the $20/person cover charge), the pre-tip bill came out to $47 and change. The abysmal accommodations not being the waitress' fault, she received the suggested 18% tip and the total came out to $55.29. I'm sure we didn't receive the 20% convention discount as we both had badges from that, but I suppose that's par for the course. At least, with prices like that, I sure hope we didn't receive a discount, that would be even worse. Everything included, we paid a combined $95.29 to get two average drinks in plastic cups, a plate of chips and a side of guacamole dip, not to mention the heinous music and hearing damage from that (at least that was on the house). It was so bad that I genuinely considered submitting a chargeback with my bank, it felt like Adobe Gila's robbed us.
Truth be told, this place was a memorable experience for two years in a row, in a very good way the first year, and in a way that we will talk about to our deaths the second.
To the social media person/manager reading this. The convention I attended drew at least 17,000 attendees. I could consider coming back to this restaurant next year, but you really have to make this right.

My husband and I were here over the weekend, it was our first time. Music was great, our server Nikki visited us often and even conversated with us despite how busy it was during the club hours. Will come back to try the food and we will definitely request Nikki next time we come in.

Came here with my co-workers, food was pretty good and we really liked the mango and watermelon margaritas , we ended up getting a pitcher as recommended by our server. Our server Nikki was very attentive and sweet, she checked up on us often and made sure we were taken care of the whole time. We didn’t have to flag her down , she made sure to always come by. Food came out in timely manner. The experience was much better this time then it was when we came 2 years ago.

Server was absolutely terrible. Rushed everything, careless, attitude… when requesting a to-go box or container she threw it onto my table and then asked me for my parking ticket to verify and she came 5 minutes later to say she couldn’t do it because it was ‘folded’ and threw that too onto my table. The QR code is literally visual, can even scan it through my own phone… I stood up and walked to the front counter and verified it myself under 2 seconds. Regret tipping 20% for a 80$ meal but I’m a nice guy, should’ve just given 0. Good food and atmosphere though. Steak and veggie tacos were 10/10, so were their fries and mojitos but a terrible server that left a bad memory and completely killed the mood and evening. The nice woman working the front desk that evening was fantastic though (had tattoos). Regardless, the experience was a disappointment. I don’t want to be hassled while dining and being polite and courteous to the staff, it should be the same around. I also included a photo of my ticket she swore couldn’t be scanned because it was “folded”. Willing to bet you can scan it yourself just through the screen.

Overall good experience. Food was good, large portions, menu did not have prices listed which was unfortunate. The DJ had music from 00's-today. The appetizers came out with the meal so that wasn't spaced out as we would've liked. The cocktails came in both glass and plastic cups (inconsistent), though they were good. We had to ask for the beer list separately after being seated for a while, the menu only had three happy hour beers listed. Server wasn't very attentive after she brought the food. The dessert brought did not match the photos online. Bathrooms were clean. Good vibe, good decor, good for a night out. Cover charge on a Saturday night after a cert point. Pre Halloween weekend. They offered parking validation.
