This is a great spot for solid food and an excellent whisky selection. They leave the bottle you’re tasting right there with you. I was in Chicago for an overnight layover, and found myself right at home at Bub City. I had a very interesting conversation with a pilot who was having dinner next to me at the bar. It’s indoor/outdoor and even though we asked to sit inside we were still in the blaring sun. Luckily it started to go down after 10-15 minutes but be prepared for that. The door was slightly more elevated bar food, but was decent and reasonably priced. The whole place is very interesting and has a great atmosphere. Visiting the area for the weekend with my mom and sister. I got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, my sister got the General Joe’s chicken sandwich and my mom got the brisket sandwich. Everything was delicious! The drinks were good as well. Marisa, our severe was also an absolute pleasure! If I lived in the area this would definitely be a spot I frequent.
