I went to Old town location and the burger was sub par. I was so exited to get a burger there as the main restaurant is so busy. I would not recommend! Overpriced and only a 5 rating.

Honestly, pretty mediocre establishment. Au Cheval has a great burger, I'll give them that, but the Small Cheval locations always disappoint. This one is a really cool space, but the food is disappointing and the service sucks. I placed an order for a shake and got a buzzer, but the buzzer never went off so I eventually went up and asked and my shake was in a fridge somewhere. I appreciate the limited menu, but the point of a limited menu is to be really good at what you serve, and I am never impressed by the food I get at Small Cheval (regardless of the location). Overall, give it a go if you want a burger and are nearby, but don't go out of your way and if you've already had it, try somewhere new.

Chicken tenders are really skimpy. Burger was ok and I didn't like the sauce they put on it . Overall this place is overpriced for mediocre food and small portions

Loved to go in Small Cheval but this one have just good interior. Always wrong order, for example last time i ask just no pickles and i get only pickles inside and tenders were kinda bad. Dissapointed.

I agree, not sure why this 3.8. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is bright. Beside a great burger and fries, the chicken stripe are amazing. The shakes and rootbeer floats are worth stopping for all by themselves.

I’ve always loved this burger chain — it’s one of my favorites, and I was so happy when a location opened nearby. I’ve been coming almost every week and have recommended it to many of my friends. But lately, something feels off. The food doesn’t taste quite the same, and today the service was really disappointing. The restaurant wasn’t even busy. The male cashier was super friendly and took my order nicely, but the young woman running the food was another story. There was no line, and we were just waiting for our food. When I asked for ketchup, she sighed and tossed it to me. Later, I ordered dessert — we were the only customers inside — but it never came out. I thought maybe there were a lot of to-go orders, but then I saw her chatting and laughing with another employee instead of preparing our ice cream. It finally came out about ten minutes later. Honestly, that was enough for me. I probably won’t be coming back for a while. Too bad.
