Really good food. A little difficult to find seating when they are busy.

Next time check your order before you pull away. Went through the drive thru on 11/27/24 at 2pm. My order could not have been more wrong, yet it was repeated correctly on the speaker . I asked for 3 gluten free burgers ( 2 with ketchup only and 1 plain). I got 2 lettuce wraps with pickles and 1 with a gluten free bun with sauce. Please explain why they ask if your request for a gluten free bun is for allergies or preference. It’s non of their business. FYI small cheval I have never had another restaurant ask me why I wanted a gluten free bun. How bout they just give you a gluten free bun without asking for a reason. I suspect this might have been why my order was messed up because after they repeated my order i switched the reason from preference to allergy. Very disappointed to drive 20 minutes home after receiving my order to find out it’s wrong.
Just ok. Stale over salted fries and greasy burgers. 3 stars because the drinks were good
Overated burger! I wanted to love this place but man the burger was so dry out and the toppings didn't help. I rather go to portillo's for a burger!

Burgers were below average at best- overcooked and dry & fries were only decent. If you’re looking for a great burger near O’Hare…definitely go to Paradise pup instead.

Small Cheval of Rosemont sold out for the bottom line. It feels like a cheap corporate imitation of the original locations. Everything tastes off now, after frequenting this location from the start, it was always more of close rendition, but now it’s soo far off the mark. The burger doesn’t taste the same at all, the bun is bigger the meat is salty with less flavor, the milkshakes melt within minutes. Save your hard earned cash and go somewhere else.

Burgers were dry and overcooked. French fries were stale and hard. This small cheval location is making the other locations look bad! What a disservice to the other locations where the food is ACTUALLY good! Don’t waste your time going here. You can get better burgers at McDonald’s and Wendy’s than this place! Very disappointed that we spent over $100 for overcooked and dried out food! Get better cooks in there!

Consistency consistency consistency!!! This place has none! I come here once every month or two and every time something different comes out. It's a shame!

The hype was delicious, but the food was not there, I had a better burger at lucky dogs . My signature double burger was dry and tasteless. there was nothing about the food that was good. It was expensive and not worth it. Will not not go back. Don't waste your time or money. The strawberry ? milkshake was way milky, with no strawberry taste. The golden fries were a joke. Better fries at Burger King. I dropped 47 dollars for food, which was so not worth it. I'd have gotten better food somewhere else was disappointed. The place is cool.staff was good. .

My fiancé and I stopped by this place for lunch around 1 p.m., hoping to enjoy a decent meal. To be fair, the food itself was acceptable. I wouldn’t say it was anything spectacular, but it was decent for a quick bite.
Unfortunately, our experience with customer service was the exact opposite. The female cashier working that afternoon had an attitude that made us feel as if we were inconveniencing her just by ordering. It was clear from the start that dealing with customers was not on her list of priorities. When we asked if we could adjust our order due to the limited seating, she gave us a nasty look, and when my fiancé requested no onions, she made a snide remark under her breath.
It’s disappointing when good food is overshadowed by poor service. If someone isn’t interested in customer service, perhaps they should consider a different field. We’ll certainly never be coming back, and I’ll be telling friends to steer clear as well. At the end of it all the order wasent even put to go so ?♂️

I really like they offer gluten free, but there was something funky about oil, a texture or flavor. That was disappointing. Then the cheeseburger was for sure not worth $13 with a gluten free bun. The onion is overwhelming. Yuck. Onion toast for two days. Fries were too salty. Waited a long time for the food. No seating or organization to seating. Had to sit with strangers. The place is decorated like a circus. This way be harsh, but it was over priced and disappointing food. Wish it could have been different.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free offerings.

I was reluctant to pay when I was told at the register they don’t take cash. That is a very un-American thing to do.The burger was good and the fries had WAY too much salt. I ended up feeding the two birds they had flying around the dining area while I ate. I also left them a small dish of water. They will die if they aren’t let out of the building. Hopefully someone there reads this and gets them out accordingly.
I will not be coming back because they don’t accept cash.

Burgers were good. Service was pretty quick even though they were busy. The seating was limited. They need a couple of smaller tables for couples.

How the mighty have fallen ??♂️
Been going to the Bucktown location since it opened so I was beyond excited to have a Small Cheval open in Rosemont. Good looking restaurant, friendly staff, and they have a nice system in place to get through the lines quickly. Unfortunately, its all downhill after that.
The beautiful juicy burger, explosive flavor, and crispy bacon that I am so accustomed to getting at Small Cheval, is now a thing of the past.
The new and improved Small Cheval now features a dry, no flavor burger. Expensive. Ordinary large buns with small burger patties. Soggy, floppy bacon. Literally, your typical fast food burger except with a fine dining price. Did I mention expensive ??♂️
One and done.
