Ordered tacos, meat unflavored, no taste at all, salsa verde and roja added taste to the disappointment. Very pricey for the quality of food, plus I ordered to go, NO NAPKINS, NO PLASTIC CUTLERY, NO LEMONS. Paid almost $30 dollars. Real disappointed.

I like that there's a drive-through.We ate in, I had the horchata, rice, beans, and vegetarian burrito. Sadly, the vegetarian burrito was bland. However, the horachata, rice, and beans were good!

I feel bad as this review should have been written about 2 months ago.Los Comales is my favorite spot for Mexican food in all of Lake County, period. My boyfriend and I eat here way more often than we should! The flavors are great, the portions are generous, and it is reasonably priced. My boyfriend always gets a plain chicken burrito (i.e., just chicken, rice, and beans), and they have gotten that special request correct, even though that is an unusual order. I always get the taco salad with steak, and I have always been impressed with the ratio of ingredients, especially the amount of steak they add. Usually there is a bit of gristle, but it is a small amount compared to the serving of steak I receive.The main reason for my review, however, is because Los Comales went above and beyond for us. A Doordash driver mistakenly picked up our takeout order (even though the names weren't even close, I still don't know how this lady made this error). Los comales remade the order on the spot, and didn't charge me for the error that Doordash screwed up. However, they did forget the tacos in my order, and I didn't check the bag before I went home like I usually do, I was already late with dinner. I called the restaurant, and they were very apologetic, made the tacos, and delivered them to me with complimentary chips and salsa.This mistake is literally the only time that everything wasn't perfect, and we've been here at least a few dozen times.I was very impressed that the staff went above and beyond for us, and Los Comales remains my favorite place in Lake County!
The food is cheap and there is plenty of good Mexican restaurants around the area wouldn't waste my money on this place , every time I get the tacos from here I get sick !

The food taste like cheap fast food Mexican restaurant I wouldn't ever choose this as my first option , the horchata is legit powder and doesn't taste like real horchata every time my family gets from here I get disappointed the tacos taste cheap and the salsa tastes like water with barley and peppers , since this restaurant is so big they changed to cheap products and the drive through makes it more cheap it's like a McDonald vs homemade burgers there the McDonalds . The workers are nice though

How hard is it to follow directions. Tried to give it the benefit of a doubt because the one in des plains is amazing but they didn't make the cut. Ordered 2 taco plates without onions. Get home and surprise surprise. Tacos are loaded with onions. Not the first time this has happened. Go back and get a new set without onions only to get home and no onions and no cilantro. This kinda stuff makes people not want to eat and your establishment. You would think for the price everything would be perfect but nope.

I was there with my family last Saturday (March -2) in the afternoon, we went just to try the place since we have another similar restaurant in my city, we are lovers of tacos! We ordered 4 different orders of dinner tacos and a dinner burrito, and wow we were really fascinated by the freshness and flavor of the tacos, my favorite is al pastor and suadero, we didn't wait long even though there were a lot of people! The only detail is that they brought us the beans and rice separately for two dishes, apparently the waitress forgot, other than that the atmosphere is pleasant even though the place is not very big! We will definitely return!
I was shocked when I pay 3 dls for a can of Pepsi!!!... Really, you are located in Round Lake not Lake Forest.... there are better restaurants in the area with decent and reasonable prices.

I order steak, pastor & barbaco tacos. All 3 meats were dry and old. Absolutely unacceptable. It was bad the last time I went and thought maybe it was just an off day but it was terrible this time around. Don’t waste your time and save your money. This places shouldn’t even be apart of the Los Comales chain.
