Julio's Mexican Restaurant Reviews
Cute small restaurant off Rt 134 in Round Lake with excellent margaritas and delicious food. Got the Mexican Eggs breakfast and it was perfect! Eggs not runny or over cooked, more than enough for the 4 tortillas provided. Generous portion so I am bringing some home! Yummy on the rocks strawberry margarita with plenty of strawberries 🍓 floating in it. Several lime slices and an orange in the traditional margarita. Would recommend and we will definitely be back to try the $1.99...read full review
Muy rico todo! Las salsas diferentes y sabrosas los tacos y quesabirrias deliciosas! Pozole estilo Guerrero muy rico! Y el servicio ni se diga!! La mesera súper amable y atenta!
Everything here tastes fresh and homemade. The red and green salsas were the best I’ve ever had, different than anywhere else. All of the tacos were in the bigger side so 3-4 will fill you up. Julio's Mexican Restaurant offers authentic dishes like Pozole in red, green, and Blanco options. The friendly staff provides excellent service, and the margaritas are delicious, including a yummy on the rocks strawberry margarita with plenty of strawberries and a traditional margarita with lime slices and an orange. The owner, a former Bears employee, creates a unique green and orange/red sauce for tacos. Outdoor seating is available for a pleasant dining experience, with fresh ingredients and phenomenal taste. Customers enjoy the generous portions, such as the Mexican Eggs breakfast, which is perfectly cooked with enough tortillas to take home. The atmosphere can feel a bit awkward if you don't speak Spanish, but the food remains pretty good, and many recommend trying the $1.99 tacos on Tuesdays. The variety of glass bottle drinks adds to the experience, and the different salsas, tacos, quesabirria, and Pozole style Guerrero are highly praised for their flavor. Recent reviews highlight friendly service, great tasting food, and delicious tacos and nachos. Overall, Julio's offers a tasty and welcoming place with a focus on authentic Mexican flavors.
