Smoked pork chops can be cut with a butter knife and are equally as tastey! Definitely a must stop if you are in the area!

We went there New Years Eve, our reservation was at 5. We both ordered whole catfish, and it was brought to our table in about 15 min. It had to be precooked, it wasn't crispy, and bare warm. We were leaving at 5:35.

I had the lunch time special. It was fried shrimp, baked potato and green beans. The salad bar was also included! Everything was so delicious and cost only $9.00! One of my favorite places to eat.

So bummed when Club 41 closed, after eating there since I was a kid---and now Club 41 is alive & well, and better than ever!! The food is as great as the staff-got to try Lindsey's famous Long Island ice tea. Then there's the chefs-Debra, Louie, & Jessica, and waitstaff-Nikki, Martha, & Shauna. Add Aunt Martha's homemade pies (as great as grandma's), and these fine folks make Club 41 one of my favorite restaurants in a 100 mile radius!! ❌NOTE: This exceptional review of “Club 41” was made by me BEFORE “Club 41” became “PZ’s Club 41”. I don’t know why the “PZ” was added to this review?!? But my rave review of Club 41 was made YEARS BEFORE PZ’s took ownership of this once-incredibly delicious restaurant! We subsequently returned to Club 41 when it was taken-over by PZ’s. Our large dinner group was extremely disappointed with the obvious difference since Club 41 is now “PZ’s” Club 41. The group of diners at our neighboring table also said they would not return. NONE of the former Club 41 staff are employed here anymore, & the changes since PZ’s take-over is so disappointingly obvious. We ordered what USED to be the BEST onion rings we ever tasted. We were shocked when our waiter brought us our order of onion rings. The onion rings didn’t even cover the paper plate. What happened to the delicious mountain of onion rings we were always served at the former “Club 41“?? Our waitress was quick to explain how fortunate we were to even be able to order onion rings at “PZ’s Club 41”, because the Galesburg PZ’s does not serve onion rings. We couldn’t order the delicious salad with blue cheese crumbles anymore-because it wasn’t even an option. The waiter told us we could take advantage of the salad bar. The salad bar behind us about a foot away from where our chairs were. I don’t expect to see a large vat of chocolate pudding as the main course to a salad bar. The few salad bar options were embarrassingly skimpy. The majority of our party received the wrong orders, & the meat was overcooked and inedible. When we addressed our concerns our waitress apologized. Although we couldn’t eat what we ordered, & we left the restaurant with our full-orders on our plates, we still had to pay. We’re unsure who made our watered-down mixed drinks, but this “PZ’s” Club 41 needs Lindsey back!! We should NOT have to tell the bartender HOW to MAKE A DRINK. And this PZ’s needs to bring back all former waitors and ESPECIALLY the CHEFS!!! I’m so sad to say this visit to the new PZ’s was such a gastronomical disappointment, our days at our beloved FORMER “Club 41” are over? Based upon comments, it appeared patrons who frequented the Galesburg PZ’s were happy PZ’s opened this second restaurant in St. Augustine, however those of us who frequented the former “Club 41” absolutely know this place doesn’t begin to compare to Club 41 as we knew it. Keep the “PZ’s” name, but drop the “Club 41”, because this establishment is NOT the Club 41 we knew and loved.❌
Went early, around 5 becuz of the $6 special of chicken & noodles. Rather busy & only saw 2 waitresses. By the time our waitress got around to taking our order, they were out of chicken & noodles! We sat & waited quite some time & watched people get their chicken & noodles. No other item to replace it at the price. For the time we waited & the special being gone, I will not be going back. Poor customer service was my opinion

We were very disappointed. The onion rings are nothing like they use to be, and my wife’s shrimp was mushy. I had a hamburger steak which was cooked well, but simply had no taste. The salad bar was nice with fresh lettuce, but overpriced for what it is. The service was good. Probably won’t be back anytime soon.
