My Italian Beef sandwich was seasoned well and absolutely delicious. My wife's tortellini was kinda bland, didn't live up to the menu description. We were sat immediately but it took 15 plus minutes for our server to acknowledge us. I believe she was on a break and was unaware of sitting. This rating took a hit because of it but she got her 20% tip.

We’ve now stopped here on at least 5 occasions in the last two years while traveling on I-74. We have always received a consistent, high quality experience each time. Our food always comes out quickly, is prepared perfectly, and is consistently great tasting - can’t ask for much more than that. The waitresses have always been friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. This is a well-run operation at every level it appears.
If you've had monicals pizza before... you already know, if not you got to try it to know how good it is!!! P.s. Try dipping your pizza in their French dressing

I stop here every time I drive through on 74 on my way to Indy from Iowa. Grew up in Danville so I was raised on Monicals. Every pizza I have had here has been perfect! A happy slice of my childhood!

Monical's in St. Joe, IL was the first Monical's I have had in many years. The crust was cracker thin and crispy, and there were adequate toppings. A big bowl of salad and a pitcher of Pepsi, along with the large pizza, made up the Pleaser special, and it was only slightly over $40 (tip included) for the 4 of us.
