There I was, on 294, about to piss my pants and every gas station would have added another 20 minutes to our trip, when I thought my eyes deceived me and there was a gas station right on the highway, I found the Oasis. It saved my friends back seat. God speed.
4 stars because they didn't have cold beer and my out of state expectations were too high.

The gas station is fine. But the bathroom on the northbound side is almost always dirty, with a sticky floor and near empty soap containers. The items in the refrigerator often feel "sweaty" when you pick them up, which makes me wonder about temperature control. The southbound side doesn't seem to have this issue; just the northbound.

Construction currently going on, but ok spot to stop and use the restroom and wait for your family who is arriving at O'Hare from vacation. Much safer than pulling over on the actual highway.
