I have passed this little cafe more times than I can count. My daughter and I stopped today to have lunch. I had the Mac n cheese burger with fries it was delicious. My daughter had a cheeseburger and onion rings. ?. The owner is a great lady and had us laughing. I plan on coming back again it has a great atmosphere and food. Everything is homemade.

So this cafe was well worth the visit... the kid and I were getting some new driver hours in...we came across this cozy little place that was really a diamond in the rough... the service was great, food made or cooked to order and I really loved the country charm. You must try the burgers and for dessert...the pies...excellent pies... I was super happy we decided to try this place. Next road trip, we are coming back. Thanks Renee( the owner), we really appreciated everything!

What a find! This place is warm and cozy, and Renee is welcoming. Our breakfasts were delicious! She had 11 types of homemade jam for the toast that she made herself. We'll be back!

Do not be deceived by the size This small family restaurant 30 minutes north of starved Rock, that provides the best homemade meals in the county. The biscuits and gravy are a light fluffy and delicious. Renee works the county, takes the order and creates the best meals and memories.Kid-friendliness: They have a small treasure chest that if a child finishes their meal, they can go a pick out 1 gift. The chest is full of small trinkets and stuff.

Have not been back since 1972 when I used to ride my motorcycle on day trips. Biscuits and Gravy is still good and the locals were very friendly. Sorry to see it up for sale. COVID did so much damage to us older folks that we have to move on in our lives. Support these local businesses just to keep our country free and

A trip back to the days when people talked to each other and helped when they could. Great breakfast selections and the owner was delightful. Local artisans may display their work for purchase. Lovely pieces. Warm and welcoming atmosphere!
