On Sept 6th me and my SO decided try the Shelbyville Illinois location...not worth the hype imho...we went in before we saw the movie at the Roxy...you claim to have an "executive chef" cooking...I highly doubt that...we got a cheeseburger it was burnt beyond recognition and was very salty...we didn't ask for fries but got them anyway..they was edible...no executive chef would send out a burnt burger I know of...I come from a background of people in the restaurant business (grandmother ran and owned one for 42 years before passing a few years ago)..she would of had my guts for garders if I sent that out(i also worked as a cook, waitress and dishwasher on my days off from my regular job)...my daughter got the shells florentine to go she wasn't impressed with the meal...it too was not the greatest but she did eat the garlic bread and salad...and upon reading the owner(s) responses to the reviews...the response is very disturbing..and unprofessional...if you want people to come back for another time you would improve things by listening to the customer by what people are saying and the reviews not belittle and degrade them.
Possible the worst pizza I've ever had. The crust was still doughy. I also ordered Bosco stickers and much to my surprise all I got was a hollow piece of bread. Will never order from here again!!!
It was raining while camping so we decided to get some pizza. We had fried ravioli which we all really liked, and a sausage and pepperoni pizza. The pizza was great, I really liked the crust. Very good pizza! We will definitely return the next time we are in town.

The service can be said to be less inviting and impatient and no clue of what was on the menu at all. Which was just a few things not what was on the menu. Ok that’s fine so I asked for a chicken Caesar Salads , she said yes we do I said well is it w romaine lettuce and no tomatoes or cheese cheese like I got the last time she order. No ma’am we make our Caesar salads w regular shredded lettuce. I said well that’s not a real Cesar Salad if it’s mat w romaine because at the end that just a salad w Caesar dressing w cheddar cheese. lol no thank you. And appreciate the sarcasm on the phone when u acted like I didn’t know what a real Caesar salad was. FYI ITS WITH ROMAINE AND PARMESAN NOT TOMATOES AND LETTUCE BUT APPRECIATE THE LAUGH

If i had a dollar for every pizza place I've seen or visited named Joe's, I could probably buy one of them. But names don't matter, do they? It's the food we care about. And this place is very good in all aspects. They were set to close in about 20 minutes until dinnertime hit. They happily took my order anyway and 15-20 minutes later it was done and ready. 16" thin crust with extra cheese and double ham. Plus, my Bosco sticks. It absolutely hit the spot, too. Excellent pizza that definitely reminds me of other pizza places I frequented growing up back home. It was all hot even when I got home. The restaurant itself has a buffet, which is a rarity nowadays it seems like and the interior is exactly what a pizza and pasta place should be: not too big and not too small. Cozy and quaint in a building that's a bit older but not so old it's in disrepair or worrisome. As far as service goes, if I could've given the young lady more than 5 stars here I would've. She was super nice and accommodating. There are other very good pizza places in the area, but I believe I've found mine.

We were the family that sat across from the poor review below( Tracey Marcus) I can assure you my husband and children and I were not upset. We ordered Pizza, boscos and drinks and it was all great!! We love Joe’s pizza and always have a great experience. The staff was wonderful, I sat facing the kitchen doors and didn’t see any “horsing around” from the employees. Our food came out quickly and was delicious like always. It’s a great place to eat and super affordable in this economy! As a past employee I can assure you it is all homemade!!

Where to begin? In my 55 years of life that I have lived so far, I can say with all honesty that this is the worst pizza that I have ever had! We decided to drive over from another town to see the Christmas lights at Forest Park, which were beautiful! Afterwards I took my family to Joe’s Pizza because it looked nostalgic being in the older section of town.We ordered two pizzas, breadsticks, and four drinks. The drinks came out first and were very syrupy. Next the breadsticks with what was supposed to be marina sauce. The sauce was way too sweet, and it was cold. The breadsticks would remind you of the Great Value breadsticks that you can buy at Walmart. We eat these all the time so I recognized them. I just don’t like eating store bought food at restaurant prices. When the pizzas came there was triple the amount of sauce that needed to be on them. The crust would remind you of Chef-Boy-R-D store bought crust. The sauce on the dough reminded me of cheap canned sauce that was way too sweet. The toppings were very sparse, like one pepperoni per slice if you were lucky. The cheese on the barbecue pizza was not even close to the edges. The dough was very dense and doughy.I felt as if I had been ripped off and abused as I paid our check of close to $50. Again this was my family eating with me, and everyone thought the same thing about the experience. Imagine cardboard soaked in sweet tomato sauce without enough cheese. Peering into the back of the restaurant tells the tale. Young teenagers cooking my food that don’t give a rip, horsing around. You may read this and think that this is just my opinion. Nope. There was a family right across from our table and the man was so upset with the food quality and his kids wouldn’t eat it and his wife was upset. I don’t know why people give passes on such rotten restaurants like this one, but I won’t. I honestly can say that after 55 years of eating pizza around this nation that was the worst pizza I have ever had.

Food was ok but served was horrible, there was only a couple tables of people and it still took almost an hour to get our food. The 2 waitresses spent most of their time in the back. Probably won't go back.

I was really disappointed in my meal. I had fried mushrooms for an appetizer, then a pasta bake with added meatballs for the main course. Mushrooms were eh. Pasta bake wasn't good, the sauce is very sweet and lacks that Italian marinara flavor. Meatballs had a weird taste to them and I only ate half of one before giving up on it. Even the garlic bread was disappointing.Atmosphere was decent, A/C was struggling to keep up but it was 100 degrees outside.
