I really love Cracker Barrel and it’s my go to place to dine. Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience recently at the Shiloh location. We waited an hour and a half to receive our food. One of the orders was wrong. We asked to speak with the manager that they apparently couldn’t find. We always enjoy the food at Cracker Barrel. This past Saturday, we ate at the Shiloh, IL location. The service was terrible. Our waitress, Joya, stopped by our table to say she would be with us as soon as she finished with the table next to us. My husband & I knew what we wanted so when she took our order, we ordered our drinks and then told her we wanted an appetizer (loaded hashbrown tots) and we knew what we wanted for our meals. Usually we have very good service here. But this past Saturday, we waited a very long time for our food. Communication is key. If it was going to be a long wait due to staffing shortages or a surge in customers, then have the hostess let us know BEFORE we are seated. It was probably 30 minutes before the waitress came to tell us of the delay and she was not attentive to refilling coffee and water at all.
