So I drove all the way to Shorewood for an old stable day used to be downtown Joliet chicken and spice was the business back there. I don’t know what they doing at this new location, but then we used to be able to get a large chicken gizzard, a medium chicken gizzard, which is half of the fraction of what we used to get for seven dollars, they do it now which is stupid because they gave me these little baby pieces. Also, what does that mean? I was disappointed.

Huge disappointment. I drove all the way from the East side of Joliet to go to this Chicken and Spice in Shorewood and spent over $60 just to be super dissatisfied.
•the biscuit felt and tasted almost raw. They were so white looking and crumbled right on my hands
•mash potatoes were super thick.. as if the needed more milk/water/liquid .. however they make it. The texture was not right.
•chicken was okay not excellent nor how I remembered (from when this restaurant was on the east side)
•despite the nice color of the rice… rice tasted plain.

Overall bumped out 👎🏼
I ordered Through drive through so I cannot comment on store conditions.

Firstly I asked was it good and was the chicken spicy. Well it was okay and was not spicy. The dirty rice was dry as and they smashed it under the chicken and potato wedges. Then when water began to drip from the ceiling onto the table. My family gathered our things and we left. No No No!!!!!!

But the decor was nice no long wait and I see why. Oh and there was this weird after taste from the chicken.

Amazing as always best chicken nuggets around

Nice surprise, coming in from out of town we haven't seen a place that offers gizzard and livers for a while. Coleslaw was creamy with just the right sweetness.
