This is a favorite place of mine and my family - the staff are always friendly, as well as the owners. Food and drinks on their menu are delicious and rotate frequently with the seasons. It is a fully inclusive place - no matter race, gender, orientation, etc. ALL are welcome! Both cozy seating and tables for card or board games. A GIANT collection of games to try from their library! Huge supporter of area non-profits and small businesses. I highly recommend anyone looking for a unique space to visit, to stop in.
Dietary restrictions: Lots of options for non-dairy substitutes in the drinks.
Parking: It is located in a multi-unit shopping center with ample parking right out front.
Kid-friendliness: Kids of all ages are welcome - there are events/games that are specifically geared towards children.

Amazing coffee, smoothies, and toast!
Cheaper than a date night, engaging and fun atmosphere for anybody, of any age. If you are new to games, or started playing Catan before it was cool, this place has it all! Dana really cares and has done an amazing job creating a place where you can go and be a part of a community and enjoy a nice beverage!

I have nothing but good things to say about this location. The owners have turned an idea for tabletop gaming, amazing teas and coffees, and toasts and pastries into a budding gaming community. One that focuses on learning, growth, and most importantly, a safe space of inclusion. We're all trying to have a great time, and loving our games while we do it. I try to grab a wizards brew every time that I'm there, because no place makes a chai drink like that one any where else i have been. Outside of the food is the gaming community that will find a schedule filled with different types of games as well as different systems new and old. if you'd like to try a game out or just come in and play board games there is a huge board game library that is available. There are a lot of places that try to make a gaming store, but this location is so much more than just a simple store to buy boxes of dice and paper in. It's an amazing place to go, great smiling people that are there. If you enjoy gaming or are looking to try gaming, this is the place to start.

Critical Grind is one of the most open welcoming places that I've been! Everyone, from the staff to the other patrons, is always so nice and makes you feel right at home! The drinks and toasts are creative and yummy, and the games and events are great! They have truly created a wonderful community and haven for all.
Vegetarian options: They have many vegetarian options and alternatives here
Dietary restrictions: My daughter is allergic to dairy, and they always have dairy-alternative options for her and are happy to offer and accommodate. There are also gluten-free options.
Kid-friendliness: Critical Grind has a library of about 1,000 games, so there are many options for kids. There is also a small area with a kids' table and chairs, a shelf with kid's stuff and a white board that kids can draw on. I bring my kids here all of the time!
Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is on one level. Wheelchairs can easily roll up to the tables, and the bathrooms are individual bathrooms that would have enough space to easily accommodate a wheelchair.

Was one of my favorite places to relax but with them implementing a sit down charge theyre gonna price out their customers. Even if you dont touch their board games, they will charge just to sit down and relax and enjoy ur drink. With a group of 4 they charged us 32 dollars with not even a discount on the drinks. Was an amazing lgbt+ safe space that i could recommend to any and everybody. If they last to the end of the year that will be amazing. Even if they get rid of or reduce the charges, considering how they threw the community under the bus for a few bucks , i dont think they will recover from shunning a loyal customer base. They even have the audacity to say that paying 45 dollars a month on their pateron will waive the sitting fee , but even the greediest coffee shops like starbucks will let you sit down for free. I wish the staff all the best at their next jobs

Awesome place. Great cafe, wonderful employees, incredible selection of games. My teenager plays D&D here every Tuesday and loves it. It's a safe and positive environment for kids and adults alike. We will be permanent and frequent customers.
Employees are wonderful, and it's a great, safe place for my teenager to socialize and play games. So happy to have found this place and we will be permanent and regular customers!
This is one of if not the most affordable activities to do in the surrounding area. And they have a huge collection of boardgames that you can play for all ages. I’ve gone here with just my wife, brother, and my friends and we always have a good time. They recently changed the pricing for playing games and it’s still cheaper than anything you will see in the surrounding area. And the coffee is great also.
Feels like a second home to me. I can be myself and play games with my friends and family. Owner is around all the time and is warm and welcoming. One of our favorite places to go.
