We went late night and still had to wait 15 minutes to get our food. The staff was goofing around in the kitchen area while the orders were stacking up. The food is way over prices for what you get. Got a chili dog, fries, a piece of spice cake (which wasn't very good), and some sweet peppers which totaled up to $25.00!!! Crazy! Will not be returning anytime soon.

Portillos is a must when youre near Chicago. Chicago style hot dogs are amazing, burgers are great too and if i don't bring home one of their famous cakes there will be a riot in my house.

Went last week for late dinner with the kids. Waited over 30 minutes for my order and gave up. Their food is not that great and way overpriced to overcome delays in service. They did refund my order before I left, but I will not be returning any time soon.

I stopped by Portillo's in Shorewood, IL, for lunch, and it was a fantastic experience! Their classic Italian beef sandwich is hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had. The beef was tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, and the bread was soft yet sturdy enough to hold up to the savory juices. I opted for it dipped with hot peppers, and the combination was incredible.

The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the restaurant had a clean, welcoming vibe. Whether you’re craving a hearty sandwich or just love Chicago-style comfort food, Portillo's is the place to go.

Ok I love Portillo’s, but they have to work on their craftsmanship. The recipes are not the same as downtown in the fool. Just taste nasty.

Never disappointed when eating here. Dine in or drive up. The beef is always dipped just right! Staff is always so friendly and helpful.
Only one ?? Anyone else think the beefs are a little smaller than the local mom and pop stands? Just wondering?
