My favorite place to shop for groceries, etc. They have a wide variety of items. Sugar free, low sodium etc for healthier eating. If you need help ask for it. My experience has been anyone I ask will take you directly to the item if need be. I usually just say tell me the isle number and I can find it.

Hy-Vee got me hooked on a soft soap I really liked, then discontinued it. :( That aside, they have a very nice meat department, they sell dry ice, and I always like their garden center (when open seasonally). Chinese food is good too. One of my favorite Hy-Vee experiences is the children's Carts and the candy isle. I also appreciate the organic / holistic section and wide variety of gluten free items.

My only complaint with this store is the shrimp should NOT be touching other seafood. We like to get mud bugs (crawfish), but we can't ever get it from this location because I am allergic to shrimp and the mud bugs and shrimp touch each other. A shrimp allergy doesn't mean a shellfish allergy. I can eat all other seafood, just not shrimp. This is the only Hy-Vee we've been to that puts anything together with shrimp. This is dangerous, shrimp allergies vary in severity. Better to make the change than wait for the lawsuit.

They don't charge fair prices for their goods and won't lower the cost when called-out for it. A manager even lied to me saying he couldn't change the prices. I've worked in retail and know that to be untrue. I'll be spending money with your competitors from now on.

Young cashier, not friendly at all. Found out I couldn't use a credit card to buy a 50. Gift card. I had a cake also. I tried to tell her I wanted to just buy the card with the cash and the cake with a card to get some change back. She didn't get it so I just went along with it. She gave me my receipt and started to check the next person out. I reminded her she never asked me about a saver card, And when she ignored me, I said, and you are not going to either. More of the same. I spent 75 dollars and I have no idea if I would have received any fuel saver rewards or not. Usually going to Hy-Vee is a pleasant experience. Not so much this time.
