I try to never give 5 stars because someone once told me that if you were to give top ratings to everyone and everything then noone would ever try to improve. And in my humble opinion, you should always strive and there's always room for improvement! They nailed the atmosphere tho! Not the run of the mill antique overload restaurant but very nicely blending industrial modern decor keeping it simple but classy. Very Midwest!

Over the last several years of going to tapp 22 the service has diminished. Several times we have been ignored for up two 30 min. When ordering food had to find our own silver ware and condomemt. Today we went for a beer and burger and was ignored again. After again 30 min of trying to flag someone down. Finally had to ask management why she was defensive and her answer was it was the customer problem.

Their food is good. It actually is reasonably priced. Portions are definitely sharable size. The only thing I was bummed about, is my sandwich didn’t have the spicy mayo it was supposed to have. So it was a tiny bit dry. Luckily my husband had some sauce spillage on his plate so I scraped that up to use it.
Also, she did bring me the wrong side at first, but eventually she brought the right side. They still get a 5, because there is nothing better than their tin can nachos. Meat not necessary. The onions are really what you need. Don’t forget to ask for extra pickled onions!

I was told so much about this place when I moved here. Sadly my experience here was not that great. The nachos and the staff seemed friendly enough so no real complaints there. Break down- we get there Friday 7ish. There's us and a bigger table behind us. 5 workers just standing around we have 0 idea who our server is. Was seen 10ish mins later. We received drinks and the mixed drinks were wrong due to soda being out. We were done with meals before they changed it and we got new ones. 17+ dollars for a small sandwich with very little meat and a small handful of fries and aside from nachos it wasn't really all that great. We also received our app after food was served. Eventually we were done and asked for the check. This was at 810. Already there for over a hour for being the 1 of 2 tables there. We had to ask for our check again at 830. At that point we were the only ones back there.
Im strictly not putting 1 star because I see the potential on what people see in the place and I've been in the business long enough to know sometimes theres bad day. Ill try again after some time and give a updated review but for now I wasn't very impressed.

I also ordered a burger with grilled onions INSTEAD of the raw onions and received raw onions. The service was good. The waitress was nice and helpful. And the atmosphere is nice. Music was a little loud. Kind of hard to talk. The food on the other hand was very bland. Not a lot of flavor. Not even salty. I got a burger with bacon and Mac and cheese on it with fries. The fries were OK, but the burger really didn't have a lot of flavor Not my favorite place. Probably wouldn't go back.
