We spend a very pleasant afternoon at this restaurant. The food was delicious. Portions are huge. Everything was perfect. We had a selection of meze and calamari. Best calamari i had in my holiday in Limassol.

Being in Cyprus for the forth time last year: 1-2-4 week stays, eating only in restaurants, I might say, that Karatello Tavern is the best. Not only value for money, but also location, meet&greet, atmoshphere, speed of service and of cause food range&taste. Bravo for both - Kitchen and Service Teams!

one of the best taverns in cyprus local cusin fresh and very tasty. The service is excellent and the food arrived very quickly. we took the mere dinner a large variety of cold and warm starters lamb pork and chicken as well as grilled octopus an extra dish that we ordered.

We came there based on our hotel recommendation. Food was good but not excellent and staff was attentive and helpful. Kitchen was extremely busy due to a conference and hence food was lesser in quality then last time. It is a good place for families when you sit outside

The restaurant is in the old city (a charming place in itself). We ordered the meze which is intended for a minimum of 2 people. The menu consisted of cold mezets, hot mezets and sweet mezets. Everything was placed in the center of the table (in our case there were 2 focal points). In the cold mezets there was a huge vegetable salad and small bowls of local foods. The hot mezets had different meats with a local taste. In the cold mezets there were seasonal fruits and balls dipped in honey (a local dish). Everything was very very delicious. We were 7 people and enjoyed every bite. We couldn't even get over the amounts of food served. It's a shame that the treatment of one of the group who didn't want to eat was humiliating and shameful when the plate and the amount were taken away from her in a demonstrative and brutal manner so that she wouldn't touch the food that was served to the members of the group. It made us all feel very humiliated. Her behavior should have been improved!

I was wondering around on a Saturday night and many places were booked. Stopped this place thinking it was something else. The best thing about this restaurant was an excellent Spanish red that I forgot the keep the name of . Apart from that the food was not up to the excessive price compared to other nearby venues. Avoid better value for money nearby

Lovely place in the heart of old Limassol, with an outstanding aspect of thousands of bottles of wine. The mezze was spectacular and I would applaud the dessert especially. Would come back here.

We (9p) got our dinner quite fast but the souvlakis didn’t taste good and the quality was bad. I would not either try the moussaka again. When we got the check it was right but on the machine he entered 2310 € instead of 231 . We could have been really cheated if we weren’t paying attention but just signed, trusting the staff.
Local experience in old the town. Very good food with an authentic touch. Must try the chicken souvlaki, veg. Mousaka and fried calamari. The cheese flame is something too.

I am a Cypriot myself with family in limassol and I visit Limassol every year. This time around I was getting married in Cyprus and so had bought over a large number of family members from the UK. This restaurant is so good that I decided to bring many of our family and friends here multiple times during the week for dinner so they could all try the food and atmosphere. Some of our friends and family returned during the week, even without us! The food is amazing, we made sure that everyone had tried the meze and it was fantastic, we also tried some of the other dishes and they were just as good. The portion sizes were large and the quality of the food is perfect. I have eaten alot of greek food over the years and this place is somewhere that I would bring friends and family to experience a true Cypriot meal. Not only is the food great but the service is excellent. George looked after us so well all week and as we returned many times and sent many friends and family to the restaurant we were looked after amazingly. The location of the restaurant couldn’t be better, located in the heart of the old town it has a truly local feel.

One of many options in old Limassol with a large terrace with view on the Castello, the old fort. We enjoyed the service and the choice of mezze. The quality was surprisingly good for such a touristic location. The basics like Tzatziki and Hummus were really excellent. We explored some unknown mezze which were disappointing (like the Cypriot croutons), but this was our own responsibility. We recommend for the terrace, the service and the quality. Even if there must be cheaper options further inside the city.
