We just visited and was held up in line for almost 20mins.
The managers never came to help assist the cashier working, when she asked. When we asked about the concerning bad service and long wait time. The Rude manager displayed negative, disrespectful,bias behavior towards us.

food was good, my stomach was hurting after but i also have a sensitive stomach, but nice place, they have restrooms, it’s a very homey vibe, plenty of free parking! ground level for disabled. server was great! service was great!

Really happy I stopped here. Came to Chicago for my birthday and found this Gem of a place for breakfast. I’m a server and I go out often and service is always terrible places. However customer service started the moment me and my spouse walked into blueberry. The welcoming hellos and check ins, willingness to help us with smiles was amazing. There was no wait for a table but they were slightly busy. All good signs. Place was clean as well. My server was Katie! She was fantastic. I didn’t have to ask for much she could read my mind. Very pleasant and you could tell she cares about the service she gives even managed to crack jokes with us about the sugar choice for my spouses coffee with me. lol I had the catfish and grits was happy it was real catfish unlike someplace who lie on the menu. That catfish also was amazing! Seasoned to perfection! The grits were basic but good traditional grits which was fair because all you needed was a mix of that seasoned catfish with each bite. Id say it was well balanced. My spouse had the egg breakfast and also enjoyed his as well. 10/10 would recommend.

The take-out is a bit hit or miss- not always what I ask for (not-so-crispy bacon, plain strawberries instead of glazed, etc). HOWEVER, EVERY time I dine-in, I always love it here! I think the new design also makes it feel like a "destination". The staff are always kind and they even let me & my cousin continue our conversation until closing - well after our meal was done. Even the customers seem to chat each other up when possible at times - definitely a community staple.
Parking: Parking lot is limited and the street parking is not available due to traffic light nearby. Many park across street at bank parking lot. It's a risk since it's for the bank - thus far I haven't heard of issues.

I took one of my oldest and dearest friends here for a celebratory Happy Birthday breakfast! She uses a walker and was able to navigate the door and around the tables. We hadn't been here in a long while. They have remodeled and expanded. Ample parking, good service, delicious food. She and I enjoyed our time together here.

Amazing updates to the building, the staff, and the food! I was truly impressed and will satisfied. Worth the money. Plus the amount of food for the cost was great. Customer service was great.
